I've had this kit on my 09 rt for 3 or 4 years now. It's a great kit, but it's lower than you might think. You definitely have to be careful over speed bumps - however, I love how the car looks and rides with it. Once I changed the suspension, I tried two sets of the razors edge bump steer kit (outer tie rods) for extra alignment adjustment, but both ended up requiring replacing (heim joints wore out) much sooner than I expected. I just swapped the 2nd set for a good set of moog OEM outer tie rods that feel much more solid. I think you'll be happy with the eibach suspension - I definitely have been with mine - and my recommendation is to stay away from the adjustable outer tie rods.

pretty sweet

I definitely did have fun - was happy with the 1/4 mile pb's, but I need to figure out something to push the big girl harder in 4th and 5th. A blower just isn't in the budget right now, but a couple of guys were running NOS ... got me thinking. How big of a shot can you run on a stock internals 5.7? 100 or 125hp?

- didn't get a video of it unfortunately. A lady beside me did and said she was going to post it on youtube, but I haven't been able to find it yet. Did find this though for you - same car and driver earlier this year in Texas and he loses it at about 100mph. Looks like that car's a bit of a handful

I ran a half mile yesterday at a local airport, there was a pretty good list of cars there - check them out here http://racetherunway.com/?page_id=1672 The most impressive by far was a Lamborghini Super Trofeo - car # 513 in the link above - Heffner twin turbo and was pushing 2000hp. It ran 304 kph in his first run, then turned up the boost to about 26lbs and ran 330 kph in his second run - but barely got it stopped. The whole runway is only 3/4 mile long so you only have a 1/4 mile to stop. No one else was touching more than 260ish and no one thought the Lambo was going to push it in his final run. I guess he wanted to break into the 8's in the 1/4 though so he went for it. He ran an 8.9 1/4 and I was standing right at the finish line of the 1/2 where he came by at 330.4 kph (206 mph) - and right as he hit the brakes, the car went sideways on him and just started spinning. He literally spun over a 1/4 mile down the side of the grass and then buried the car into a swamp, but somehow the car managed to stay wheels down and didn't flip! Thankfully he walked away completely fine and the car itself was in one piece when they finally pulled it out. He said the only damage was to the undercarriage ... not sure about that. They waited until after everyone was gone to actually put the car on the tow truck and bring it back to their trailer. It was pretty crazy to see - but everyone was definitely happy to see him walking back up the track. As for my runs, I was a bit disappointed from a top speed perspective. I got a new set of tires last fall that are a half inch shorter than my last ones and it made more of a difference in my gearing than I thought. I was hitting the rev limiter at 6k in 4th about 200 feet before the end of the 1/2 so I had to shift into 5th. They also changed how they were measuring speed - taking your average speed over the last 60 feet instead of just your final speed at the line like last year. Anyways, best I could do was 198kph in the 1/2 where last year I ran 207. I did alright though against similar cars. Beat an M3, 06 charger srt8, subaru STI, svt cobra, S4, etc. Everyone was down ~10kph from last year. But - I did run back to back 13.1 1/4 miles which are both PB's so I was happy with that. I guess the shorter tires helped a bit there. All in all a pretty cool day.

I am - just outer tie rods (ends). No worries

yeah, thinking the same thing Denis. I just bought plugs from RockAuto actually . Bizarre thing is for some retarded reason I had the original tie rod ends in the trunk for the past 2 years and threw em out a couple of months ago. thinking I should change it before the 1/2 mile though ... yep - bump steer kit. I have the red razors edge ones (outer tie rods). Ordered through you guys in mid 2011 I think.

This is a tie rod, or bushing? Do you have a timeline for availability / pricing? With the amount of play in my front left I'm thinking I need to do something sooner rather than later.

I think I figured out my clunk from this thread http://modernmoparforum.com/topic/14163-proper-way-to-check-lower-ball-joints/ Turns out the razor's edge adjustable outer tie rods that I put on a couple of years ago now have a bunch of play in them. The front left is the worst, with the car up on jack stands I can yank on the tie rod and see / feel the joint moving. On the right side, it seems to only do it when the wheel is turned a bit. My question now is, what are my options? I installed these ends to combat the bump steer I got when I lowered the car - and they did do a decent job at that - but I definitely expected them to last longer than they have. The only other option out there still seems to be the Whiteline (was pedders) bushing kit, but I don't really feel like fucking with my steering rack. So - has anyone with a lowered car had success with front outer tie rods other than razor's edge for correcting bump steer? If not, I guess I either buy a set of stock replacements and welcome back bump steer, or fork out another $200 for a new razor's edge set and hope they last more than 2.5 years ... two kinda shitty options from where I'm looking.

yeah - had this on our santa fe and had to replace the struts and mounts. I honestly can't remember if my eibachs came with new mounts, I'll check. Thanks Denis - I have checked play in the wheels with the car on the ground and couldn't feel any, but I'll push harder! I'll check these as well - haven't checked them since I did the suspension a few years ago. thanks for the suggestions!

I have an 09 r/t and I've developed a clunk in the front right side of the car that is only noticeable when going over a bump while turning right - so for example when I turn right onto a road and go over a curb at the end of a driveway, I get a nice little clunk. Or go around a right hand corner on the dirt road that I live on that has a bit of washboarding on it and clunkety clunk. Going straight over bumps though - no noise at all. I checked the lower ball joints on both front sides about a month ago when I changed the front rotors, however I did that checking with the suspension hanging. I'm wondering if that is the correct way to check the lower ball joints in our cars? I know that for some cars you are supposed to put some load on the suspension with a second jack before checking the ball joints for play - is that a better way to check these ball joints? I'll be taking the front right off at some point this week to check it again so any input would be appreciated. Also interested in any other ideas people may have on potential source of the clunk other than the ball joints. I have razor's edge adjustable outer tie rods and an eibach pro suspension that have both been on the car for 3+ years, but I don't think either of those components would cause the clunk?

^^ this. I'm guessing that translates to closer to 70k for us .....

holy shit - according to the motortrend article, $62,995 with the 8sp ... that is seriously tempting .... I love my 6sp though - any bets on performance difference between the hellcat 6sp and 8sp? .5sec?
-
absofuckinlutely! Too bad we wont see one at the runway this year eh Denis. I'd love to see what they would run in the 1/2.

what was the damage done to the one cat? I have a Solo MachX on my car - from your description, I would need the reducer to make the cats fit?
