Damn those direct port systems look good.

They sure as hell do. Pain in the ass to run the wires. Couldn't hook up electrical wiring yet due to permissions needed to unhook battery but everything is ran for a quick plug n play once I can disconnect the battery.

Should have my new RPM transmission and subframe connectors by then as well. I think it'll run pretty good.

Hell yeah, they do some nice quality work. Andy Blanchard@nitrous outlet was a real big help.

These came in today as well to be installed when I break into the electronics.

what is the advantage to running a twin bottle setup?  will you be feeding from both simultaneously?  If nothing else it looks cool.

1. Looks better than a single bottle in a trunk. lol.
2. Convenience. Extra nitrous life at the track without having to change out bottles.

Both lines from each bottle feed into a Y adapter which flow into a single nitrous braided line, come to another Y connector at the front of car/engine bay then splits into another two single braided lines which feed into the two separate nitrous outlet bar brackets on the manifold.

Just a heads up.  You can have both those bottles feed a Y and just open 1 bottle and use it til empty'ish.  Then close it before you open the other bottle to use.  If you open both bottles by accident, they will equalize and instead of one with a lbs or two and another full one, you'll have 2 bottles with 5.5 lbs in them.  Not a big deal but just something to consider in your dealings with nitrous.  I ran two bottles as I needed it for the volume and it allowed me to do multiple passes at that level.  If you are running a small shot, keep it simple and run one bottle and get used to how many passes you will get out of it and so on.  Having to fill two bottles sucks the wang in comparison to filling one.  Running 2 bottles isnt going to hurt you by any means, just not necessary.  Id say once you get your setup mastered and feel like you know what and how your system operates, introduce twin bottles and see which performs better for you.  It will likely help you at the top end with less bottle pressure drop off.

Sh*t I can always appreciate the honesty, and thank you for the heads up. I really appreciate the feedback.

Would a 150 shot be considered small? :(

Finally got some spare time on the hands and some nice cool weather in San Antonio.

Took a step forward on the nitrous system and installed the dedicated fuel system. Took off the intake manifold to send back for the recall.

Once the intake manifold comes back, gonna run the many many electronics/wiring for the system.

It'll be here soon....

Thank you kindly. Shoot, I'm looking forward to it as well. Hopefully no disappointments.

The recall came back in late August-early September but finally got around to being able to get it sent back. Calling them today for new shipping label.

Just getting caught up on this one.  Nice setup.  Did you ever get the car dyno'd with the 274 cam to see what you gained there?

Before cam, I was round 370hp/390trq.

Gone to a Dyno day twice with cam. One time I was around 410-415hp/400-405trq two times after some adjustments it was running I've done 420-430hp/410-427trq.

So ide say about a good 50hp gain from the cam. I'm thinking some other adjustments/power can still be had unless it was just the weather conditions of the dyno place. Time will tell I guess.

Got another dyno day coming up and gonna be sure to data log this time around, pay a little extra to do 1-4 gear pulls. All adjustments have been made based off of runs at the track and roll races on street.

Really, you don't need extra for 1-4 gear pulls.  Just a good pull in 1:1 for your car (3rd if auto I think??) and 4th in a manual.  That'll tell the tale.

Did you get the idle and stall issues resolved?  Happy with the tune now?

Sweet, then I'll for sure just keep em at 4th gear pulls.

Yes, for the most part. Ide say about 95-98% good. Definitely does not go into limp mode anymore or throw any codes. It idles great and floats back down to sit at idle majority of times.

I used to run into ghost/hanging idles REALLY bad, but every blue moon, if I cruise up in first like going from speed bump to another (5-10mph) and shift out of gear real fast, it'll climb up on its only for a bit but then fall back down to idle. Then on other blue moons, moving through traffic or up a hill, easing the gas/clutch it'll fall below idle and hold at about 400-500rpm then come back to the set steady idle around 650-750.

But there have been times (not all the time) where it'll fall below idle like the described above or completely fall out after the following to where I gotta restart the car.

1. A burnout
2. High revs of the engine

Issues don't happen nearly as much or bad as they used to where I would pretty much hate to drive the car, very minimal once in a blue moon stuff.

I have them data logged and will get in with Josh@HHP for revision but work has me going like crazy and also try not to bother him/be impatient with the emails all to much cause I know he's a busy guy.

Couple questions for you....

I have a nitrous outlet plate system on my 5.7 and I recently picked up a second bottle and a dual Billet bottle bracket and mounted mine exactly the same position as you. Anyways I have a single line and want to run a Y to my inline filter and then to my feed line. This way when one bottle starts to get low I only have move the heater wrap to the other bottle and close/open the bottles without having to disconnect the feed line and purge the lines out.

Did you have any problems mounting the fuel cell? Did you get the low pressure setup? I don't think I'll need a dedicated fuel system since I'm only spraying a 125 shot on a plate vs direct port.

Honestly, the only thing I had an issue with was removing the windshield wipers to take the plastic molding off for easier access to work with and put the dedicated in. Positioned the wipers straight up and with some real good elbow grease they finally came off, just make sure to mark off where they were positioned when they came off.

Once I got those off, it was super easy to set the dedicated system in and bolt to the bracket that the plastic cover sat over.

Hope that made sense lol

Right on. I forgot to ask my first question in regards to the dual bottle setup. How exactly do you have your bottle connected? Are you running an inline filter, a Y, and if so how long are the lines between the bottle, Y, and inline filter?
