I like the new wheels.  I think they'll look good.

When I've toyed around with different tires and/or wheels, I've used the website linked below.  I know what I have now and how much room I have.  I'll compare that to a different scenario and the calculator tells you what the difference is.

http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

This was really helpful.  Shows a 10mm difference (+5mm from offset change and another +5mm from going to a 305/35 tire) which I think will be fine.  I have about 18mm of space between my current setup and the closest spot of the wheel liner.  That's without pounding the hump or massaging the liner with a heat gun.

I like them as well Jay. 20x10 with a +25mm offset is perfect and you will not have to roll fender lips.

Thanks for the confirmation Craig.  I know you did a lot of checking things to get yours setup just right so I appreciate your input.  I'm gonna pull the trigger on these.

Thanks. Interested to see what the 305 will look like with whatever offset you go with.

15-20mm offset in front with the wheel width you stated earlier (8.5)

25mm offset for the rear with a 10" wheel.

you could run a 315, but it would be a tight squeeze depending on on low the car is.  a 255/45 will fit a 8.5" wheel nicer than a 275/40, but will have a slightly taller sidewall than your typical 315/35 tire.  i know this because the charger's street wheels are vossen cv3's with a 315/35 rears and 255/45 front on similar size wheels you mentioned.

this is the best picture i could find......

Any fender mods required? The wheels and 305/35 555Rs are ordered. I'm just hoping they fit.

what offset and width did you get?  my rear fenders were rolled slightly from when the 22" wheels were on the car.  i am fairly certain with the ride height of the car in the above pic, that the 315/35 would have rubbed slightly without them being rolled.  i used a good ol' fashion wood baseball bat to roll them.  simple.....

For a x10 and 25mm offset, the 305s should tuck in nicely. The /35 should allow you some "safe" clearance with your lowering kit.

Some kick ass wheels though, Looking forward to it. If the 305's don't fit, then damn but at least you dove into the "unknown" so to say and tried.

I've got loads of room everywhere but that hump toward the front of the wheel well on each side.  If it rubs out comes the big mallet and heat gun

You guys think 20x10's with a 40mm offset would work at all 4 corners on a 2012 Charger?

Grip? I want a squared setup so I can rotate tires. I think 295/35/20's all around would be bitchen. Would a 40mm offset rub the inner in the rear?

Not sure if this helps, but I run 285/35-20's front and back on the stock '07 Charger SRT8 rims without any issues.

@speedy - mallet and heat gun seem to be the fix for a lot of issues to be "banged" out.

@blue blur - 40mm offset with a 295, MAY be to much tuck so to say and rub. But no tire expert here, so ide say give it a shot.

I understand the set up/ look you want though. It's pretty beefy and won't look bad on a charger. My .02.

There is another guy on LX Forums running 20x9.5's with 18mm offset and 275/40/20, same as new Hellcat's, and he says 0 rub problems with that setup in the front. Maybe a 32-35mm offset would be more doable actually.

I tried to beat that metal hump with a big mallet. It is dual walled and really could not flatten it. I ended up cutting it out, sealing it and using a heat gun to take the hump out of the plastic liner. You should really have no clearance issues with that setup. With a 10" wheel and 305 tire you should be golden. Will look kick ass. Can't wait to check it out at CF6.
