Got it on the hump.  Have grinder and not afraid to use it

I'll see how I make out.  I'm not overly concerned as I know how to make them fit.  My issue is getting the car home from the tire shop.  I'll figure something out if it means running spares in the front and the front wheels on the back to get home

Not to sure, but if you have another vehicle. Get the rims mounted on the tires and balanced. Then put em on at your house and make fitment, if necessary.

Or run your new fronts and drag wheels in the back. Load up the rears for home.

My .02. They're going to be kick ass regardless. Good choice on the style/look of wheels.

About time you got those Mustang wheels off your car! for whatever reason, I've always thought of the Boss's as Mustang wheels.

I tried to beat the hell out of that hump. No joy!

I ended up selling the 295's

Interested to see how you make out Jay.

Get a bigger hammer lol, used a 5lb hammer and a piece of aluminum 1 1/2 square stock and it's as flat as can be now. Heat gun flattened out the inner liner nicely, got it good and hot and then used a wet rag to cool it down while pushing in on it. I ended up putting two 1/8 pop rivets at the bottom edge of the liner to help hold it in place. I'm running the 295/40/20, lowered 1" and no rubs at all.

I look forward to some pictures of the new wheels Speedy.

Got the new wheels and tires put on last Saturday.  Then the weather took a huge dump and we've had 3 inches of ice this week and more snow forecast for tomorrow.  As soon as the weather breaks I'll get some pics.

The driver side fit with zero problems.  There's probably 15mm of space between the tire and the fender at it's closest point.

The passenger side was REAL close.  The Discount Tire guy came and got me to take a look and I could barely get a folded business card between the tire and the fender liner at that hump.  I asked them for a jack, impact, and heat gun, and told them to work on the front while I "fixed" it lol

I put a heat gun on it and massaged it with a piece of wood to get it to form as close as possible to that hump.  I got it within a millimeter or two.  We remounted the tire and now have about 3-4mm of space between the tire and the fender liner.  I drove it home, removed the passenger side tire, and checked for any rubbing.  I didn't notice any nor did I hear any.  It was a short drive of a couple miles so I'll need to test it thoroughly before giving the all clear.  If I do get any rubbing, I'll just remove the liner, grind down the hump, and heat gun it some more.  Easy peasy.

I don't have any pics as of yet due to the nasty weather, but the rear tires are MEATY and the new wheels look great.  Totally changed the personality of the car.  The new wheels also have LOADS of room for big break kits.  I'd bet they'd even fit a Hellcat.  The Stoptech template I had showed an inch or two clearance around those huge calipers.

J, You don't need a grinder to fix the hump. Just get a Big F*cking hammer and a piece of 3/4-1" stock and start working on the middle of the hump and it will lay right down.

Yeh, looking forward to the pictures. It's funny how we all drive these cars home from the dealership all clean and shiny, then swap tips on how to beat the shit out of something to get it the hell out of the way to fit a mod
