Cobra Wheel Question

I'm going to widen the bore on the cobra wheel, how did you guys do yours? Just keep dremeling until it fits comfortably? And did you guys have to touch the lug holes? What tools did you guys use?

I have done several sets. I use a flapper wheel to smooth everything out after grinding the bump off. Takes about 15 minutes.

Hey thanks, do you know what size flapper wheel you use? And do you attach it to a cordless drill?

Sorry for the igornance but what do you mean by bump off and why do you need to grind it?

I use an air powered grinder. 3" wheel. The bump is usually in factory wheels, reproductions don't always have the little hump on the inside.

I used a sanding drum on a drill, stopping periodically to do a test fit. It didn't take very long and no you don't have to touch the lug holes.

I did my last set of 1998 mustang gt wheels with a router, one bit did two wheels easily

3" flap wheel sander in a drill for 2 minutes per wheel ,Done.

i did the dremel with a sanding bit but took a lot of stopping to test fit. flap wheel looks like a better idea

You only need to hone out 3/8" deep in the rim so it opens up quickly.
