Coilovers Install

So I installed my Ridetech true coilovers finally and noticed there's a 1/2" height difference between the right rear and left rear side with the wheels down. The fronts are even. They're all adjusted/preloaded evenly with the wheels off. Is this normal? If so, why?

There's a pre load on the rear? I have BC Racing coil overs and the rears are just springs with an adjustable collar that uses a spanner wrench. At least with mine it took a couple weeks to settle and I probably adjust about 4 times to get the height at all four corners equal. Never really paid attention if springs were same height. Guess that's the beauty about coil overs.......infinite adjustment.

The BCs are not true coilovers. These are.

They still adjust the same way and will settle just the same, the weight of the car isn't exactly the same on all four corners and you will have to make adjustments to make it sit evenly.

Just out of curiosity, why arent BC coilovers real coilovers?

BC's are actually struts, not a true coil over shock.

But they are still adjustable? Weird.

.

I see. I've got an appointment at a performance alignment shop and they'll be doing corner balancing.

So should I leave it as is?

Will the corner balancing make them even?

Fyi, I noticed after a few days with the weight of the car, the ride height dropped by 1/2" all around. But hyperco springs are pre heat treated and they told me they won't settle.

If you have one corner that's very noticeably different it wouldn't hurt to make a small adjustment, it will make it quicker for them to dial in.

My rear is at 28 3/4" ride height. My index finger barley going in the fender gap. I'm still working on the front. I want it to be at 28 1/4" for the front.

Wish you the best of luck with those Razors Edge adjustable end links, had them on mine for 4 days and took them off, rattled like a buck board wagon.

X2... mine lasted a week.
