Driveshaft Clunk

I am assuming, the differential is getting weak? Any thoughts? Anyone have this problem before? Or is this normal operation for a one piece DS?What would I want to look into to prevent this from happening or am I more or less looking at needing to upgrade the differential?
Also, for my future reference, any recommendations of a specific type of differential or heavy duty parts?
Thank you as usual, learn a lot from you guys.

Sounds like a hammer hitting under the rear seat when you let off?

Check the pinion bolt on the diff/rubber isolator. I had the same issue and there was another thread on this subject recently.

Yup. I have the exact same noise. Just cropped up yesterday. I'm going to check the pinion bolt and the u-joint. Hopefully it's the u-joint as I have a one piece on the way.

^^^ Exactly what it sounds like
Take a look and see if the bolts on the drive shaft are loose.

Definitely will be sure to check the above when I put the car up on the lift to take the clutch off to send back to McLeod

Not to sure. Been having engagement issues/notchy shifts. Seems like a pressure plate issue, going to send it back to them and they'll let me know the exact details of it.

Sounds like what mine was doing. That bushing was toast. Glad it was a very easy fix.

Thanks Jay. I'll be reviewing your vid here shortly to see what I'm up against if that is where the issue should be.

Just replaced mine. Air tools FTW. Top was pristine, bottom, not so much.

Yessir!!
Getting that top isolator out was the only real hard part...especially to have it come out looking brand friggin' new.

Online. Bet East Coast Moparts has them.I'm having the same issue where did you get the isolator from, dealer?

Those are the part numbers for the top and bottom. There is a trick to getting the top one out, once I figured it out, it really is no more than a 15-20 minute job start to finish...if you have air tools.

1-3 months ago, I installed a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft. Recently, I've noticed a clunk when the car is slowing/winding down to a stop, or starting to roll/barely move forward.
I am assuming, the differential is getting weak? Any thoughts? Anyone have this problem before? Or is this normal operation for a one piece DS?What would I want to look into to prevent this from happening or am I more or less looking at needing to upgrade the differential?
