Signs Of A Cracked Flywheel?

Over the last few days I've been noticing a slight knocking noise. Wasn't as bad at first and I wrote it off as injectors or Valvetrain noise. But it's progressively gotten louder, so now I start to worry.

Vehicle info and background.

2010 Challenger srt8

9.5psi

100shot N20

Meth injection

615rwhp without bottle, 709 with.

Stock block, clutch, and drive train. Tr6060 6m.

I immediately jumped to the conclusion that I snapped a spring or developed rod knock. But quickly ruled that out because the knock in question is not rpm dependant.

Fast forward to today. Get out of work, get home. Car goes in the air. Pull the inspection plate off and see a few line similar to rust lines dropping down from the center bore. Hmmm. Those aren't supposed to be there.

Stick a screwdriver in there and see if you can move it around. You might also need to rotate it a bit, but you'll hear it pop if there a crack.

When I pulled the bell housing off the dowl pin was laying in the bottom of the bell housing

Yes. It does it from start up to shut down. It doesn't go up with rpm though. At first I thought it was a knock in the motor, but last night when I was turning into my driveway, I depressed the clutch and the knock volume and speed increased and then went back down to the constant metronome knock.

Both front and rear damper connectors are fine and tight.

Well, looks like my race season is over prematurely then. Don't have the funds to order a clutch at flywheel right now. An upgrade was in the book for over the buffalo winter.

I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be. Pushing serious power on stock components
