Our 5.7 is a beast
IM SURE ALOT OF YOU HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE ON THE KB WEBSITE, JUST THOUGHT IT WAS INTERESTING HOW STRONG OUR MOTORS REALLY ARE. MORE TQ THAN THE 6.1 AT LOWER RPM'S!!!

6.1 vs. 5.7 - The only drawback is the factory 5700 rpm rev limiter with the VCT cam. 6.1 is 6300 and can therefore make more peak HP. ë09 5.7 has better flowing Eagle heads.
6.1 vs. 5.7 KB HP COMPARISONS - We compared our standard 8 psi 5.7 and 6.1 kit HP. The stock HP difference between the new 6.1 (425) and 5.7 (379) is 46HP. The KB 5.7 kit replaces the more restrictive 5.7 manifold reducing the supercharged gap to approx. 40HP. Subtract 40HP from the above HP data. And we replace the stock filter box so as to not restrict the whopping 50%+ air flow and HP increase from the supercharger. Also, the 5.7 will make more HP if revved to the same rpm as the 6.1.

That chart is from an article in Mopar Action Magazine on KB super chargers.

Here's a link to a bit more on the article. http://www.moparacti...SURE_POINT.html

Ok, so here is the post where everyone can take thier shots at me.

I dont know about dyno numbers. the real test for me was at the track. in 2010 we were doing t&t in Montgomery. One of the guys down here had an 09srt auto. Has the same bolt ons as I have. Tune done by the same tuner on the same day actually. I consistantly beat him every run by .1-.2. I was running the stock RSA's back then too. Of course I know launching is the issue, but even at the trap my MPH was always faster than his.

Why did it happen? I dont know, I have no idea about all this stuff like most on here do. All I know is that no SRT with similar mods has ever beat me in 1/4. EVER!

Question, are the number wrong or are you guys saying the are wrong bc they were posted on the other forum? Not trying to be too much of a smart ass its a Legit question, iv been looking for stock 5.7 numbers from a dyno. Not what Dodge advertised.

I can't answer that, every one I know that dynoed their 5.7 had 09-10 with tunes, exhaust and CAIs. I'm sure someone here will help.

I didn't stick aroung for the track part of CF3 but I heard they had a dyno there and if you go to CF4 you can see what you have.
