Im sure this has been talked about before but I wanna ask again because I have my own follow up questions. But I keep reading that the 5.7 is underrated. What is the actual flywheel and wheel hp and tq on a 2010 stock 6spd rt...... I have read 376 from dodge and 391 from others. I also don't know what dodge rates tq but I've read some people say its 420..... Give me some answeres people......

Well it isnt a 6spd, but my auto stock dyno slip was 350 rwhp and 380 rwtq. I have heard the 6spd is slightly more, maybe 3 or 4 horsepower.

That is where the problem is, flywheel hp. Until someone pulls a 5.7 and puts it on a dyno it is pure speculation. 5.7 rwhp numbers versus 6.1 numbers seem to show it is underrated, but there can be other factors causing that too. It would be nice when Arrington pulls one of these they would dyno one.

^^^^this. Trucks are rated at 390, we are at 370-375 depending on auto or 6spd. I can tell you with very minor mods, I pulled 368 rwhp and 377 rwtq, and that was about the same as most of the 6.1's that were being dynoed the same day on the same dyno....even beat a few.

Ok, so heres another round of questions..... These are my things I have done..... Whether or not they all add power is one thing but here's the list

Mopar cai
Functional scoops
392 iat sensor
180 thermostat
Diablosport with fan temps and throttle boost changed set at the 93 cai tune
Blastin bonus reso delete
Painted calipers

This is on a 10 6spd trac pack

What can I expect power wise
I understand I won't know where it's st at the wheels until I dyno it. Which when I find one around Toledo I want to go there memorial weekend

...

Mine is virtually the same car, CAI, Reso-Delete, no tune, no other mods, here's the dyno from sheet from CF3 for comparison to any others on same dyno. I ran late in the day, was warm and had just got done running the car in the 1/4 so it was hot. Like someone already said, nothing more than guessing at crank power since dynos are going to read different. I just wanted and idea before having some work done.

Ok, so heres another round of questions..... These are my things I have done..... Whether or not they all add power is one thing but here's the list

Mopar cai- 5HP
Functional scoops- adds nothing
392 iat sensor- adds nothing
180 thermostat- adds nothing, might keep from losing some HP.
Diablosport with fan temps and throttle boost changed set at the 93 cai tune- 5HP
Blastin bonus reso delete- adds nothing sounds great.

340HP on a dynojet.

340-350. nothing really done to it, and these cars run better on the 91 tune.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on that one, my best results have come with the 93CAI tune. However in order to get those best results you have to be running decent fuel not just standard 93 pump gas. I did some testing last summer and proved (at least to myself) that by adding a gallon and a half of 112 octane fuel at the track or Torco additive I was able to pick up a tenth over running the same 93 tune but without the higher octane. Also tested against the 91 tune, best results came from the 93 tune with good fuel, even better results when I bumped the timing and added fuel.

I've got a feeling the reason the 91 tune often runs better is because the pump gas people are running isn't up to par for the 93 tune and the computer ends up cutting the timing when it senses knock, thus nullifying the better tune. That's my theory anyway, but I am sure that my best times have come with the 93 tune.

You just made my point. On pump gas the 91 is better, UNLESS you can get some no ethanol gas. The vast majority of people, for daily driving, should be using the 91 tune. My car pulled 4* on the 93 running Shell 93 on a dyno.

Race gas is a different story.

So are you guys saying ur putting 93 on on 91 tune or..... I pretty sure ur not but I'm just learning about this stuff. And your car pulled 4 asterisks w 93oct? Dang what's that convert to in hp? but yea basically ur saying the computer had to adjust 4 degrees in timing which loses power correct? Of so I need to switch tunes cause I exclusiuy use shell which is the only top tier gas in my hood.

First thing shell is shit fuel, hope you have something better in your area. Unless things have changed even Diablo recommended BP fuel. But yes it might take 93 octane fuel to support the 91 octane tune if the fuel is not very good, I used the 93 tune but I could get good fuel and the 93 tune worked better for me.

Nothing better down here. Chevron, Exxon, all the same. Yes 93 pump gas on the 91 tune. I would say the vast majority down here run that because of the gas we get. Could be the regional formula we have, dunno.

Best thing to do is test it out for yourself and see.

Chevron here used to be real good Sean, but they left the area about 5 years ago. Marathon has taken over about everything here and their fuel sucks, we get 2 to 3 more MPG from BP then Marathoin fuel.
