The vvt heads (Eagle) are better than the non vvt's so with the cam choices comes head work...which you would most likely do anyway.

You want to know what?

InferAl went to an aluminum motor
It can be done pretty easily and the tuning is much more simple.

The cam is advanced and retarded as commanded by the PCM to maximize both power and fuel economy.
The cam gear is a phaser that works off of pressurized oil delivered by a solenoid located in the front of the valley under the intake manifold.
That's what allows you to run 12's and still knock down 27 mpg on the highway. Pretty impressive and great until you want to go REALLY fast.
Then that same technology becomes a limiting factor.

It's more accurately decribed as variable cam timing (VCT).
The cam is advanced and retarded as commanded by the PCM to maximize both power and fuel economy.
The cam gear is a phaser that works off of pressurized oil delivered by a solenoid located in the front of the valley under the intake manifold.

I enjoyed that info & it made since, I thought it had something to do with the power & fuel economy Thanks man
