Here is the bung you need. This bung comes with a steel cap that covers the bung until you need to put it into use. It goes to the right of the O.E. bung on the drivers side cat. Do it now when the cat is off the car. If you decide to go the S/C route, you are one step ahead.

Here is the link.

Good luck with the install.

Thanks for the input on the flex sockets and wrenches. I will just have to get or borrow some wrenches for the job.

And thanks Keav for that reminder. lol

One other thing what size/brand of O2 extenders will I need? I am using the SOLO high flow cats/mids. Looks like one bug is near the top flange where it connects. The other is a little ways down in the 3" tube. I will try to snap a pic later.

I saw where you said Rock Auto, Dale. Do I just look for SRT392 O2 plugs? I saw a 12" Bosch one for $20. Just not sure it's right.

Also have a PM into SOLO for the stuff they ship with the units.

For the longer O2 extensions I used Bosch 15510 (I believe that is the right number) from a parts jobber. Don't try and open up the OE wire harness from above and try and stretch your original O2's. It ain't worth the hassle. Do it right the first time and buy the longer ones.

Thanks Steve! Looks like that is the same part number I found on the Rock Auto site that Dale mentioned earlier. Length is only 12". Is that right? Seems short, but I haven't crawled under the car to verify if that will work or not. If so, these are $19.07/ea + shipping.

Your right the Bosch 15510 (Made in Japan) are OE style length of 12". I just went out to the car a looked at the ones I have in the trunk that I took to the Mile just in case. The Denso 2344587 (234-4587) are the longer version are 14" and assembled in the US with parts from off shore. I ordered 2 and only needed 1.

I use a 2010 6.1 Challenger for my orders from RockAuto.

The wrenches are from Harbor Frieght and they work just fine. If you need a set let me know as I am only 12 miles from HF.

Lastly the gaskets and header bolts were only $27 from the local Dodge dealer.

I also bought from Princess Auto Canada (Harbour Freight USA) a O2 Sensor Wrench for $15.00

http://www.amazon.co...ASIN=B004FDCW90

A must have when removing/installing O2's. There is a slot in the socket. Socket grips 95% contact with O2. No slippy!

Not to keep beating a dead horse, but maybe I missed it. Is the only size of flex gear wrenches I need an 8mm? I saw a set at Harbor Freight for only $26.99, but they include only 10, 12, 13, 14 & 15mm.

Maybe I just misunderstood your post, but are you saying the 12" are too short and I need the 14" ones?

Also, what is the name of the dealer you got your parts from? That is a pretty good deal. Everywhere I have looked, the gaskets are about $15/ea and the bolts (16) are another $8-9. So I'm hitting close to $40. In the big scheme, it's only $13, but that's a pretty good chunk of difference on small dollars.

Before you posted this, I had actually found an "O2 socket" on Harbor Freight I was thinking about picking up. With it, you just use your existing extensions, where this is a more complete independent tool. For the few dollars more I like this better.

Here is a link to the one I was looking at:

I just use a plain old box end wrench on the o2 sensors.
Gear wrenches required depend on what bolts you are going to use. I can't remember if the stock bolts have 8mm or 10mm heads. The bolts that came with my headers have 10mm heads. The bolts my dad got for his are 3/8" head. I had a hard time with those, as I did not have a damn flex head gear wrench that size. lol

Pull the studs out of the motor mounts so you can slide the motor side to side, pull the coil packs and the valve covers, gives you a ton of extra space. Pull starter on pass side and steering column on drivers side. Usually takes me about 2.5 hrs to do that swap.

Wow, not only $9 parts but another $7.04 for shipping! What a waste. I know, only $16, but seriously, it's like a $1-2 part.

lol lol lol

No worries at all bud. All the other holiday bliss won't allow me to start the install until probably after Christmas anyway. I'm just getting all the parts here, and getting me some ramps made. Super big thanks to you for helping me, I greatly appreciate it!

Yeah Dale I went with the 15510's because I was confused as hell on what to order (there are the Bosch's, the Denso's and I even found a Mopar part number for "extenders" which looked like you pulled wires and replaced them (yuck!!!)). Since Steve has my EXACT setup, I asked him what he used and the 15510's was it, so I went with them too.

Because these caused me so much confusion, I plan to snap some extra photos (along with measurements) comparing the originals to the Bosch's when I do the install. Maybe it will help someone else too.

So a huge thanks to Steve in helping me get the right stuff.

Hopefully I will have another pic or two to post in a few days. I also ordered the gaskets, header bolts (mucho thanks to Dale for these part numbers!!!) and the bolts & nuts where the cats & headers mate together. Hopefully I won't need the bolts/nuts for the cats/headers (as I can use the existing) but I figured if I relied on that then they would break or have an issue while I was installing and I'd be down waiting on $5 worth of parts to ship. I just pre-paid, which probably means I won't have any problems now.
