i'll be there!

Plm Krze NC plates.

I'll have the grab bag for our little gear heads... It is a purple sewing bag full of Hot Wheels. The little kids love getting a suprise. I have some kids that come back at every event.

All in all it is great fun!

BTW, no glass bottles, no ETOH period. But I can attest that generous portions of tasty beverages are consumed after the racing, off site of course.

Safecraft LT Series Fire Protection Systems LT5AAB. $337.95 Summitt.

Arrington did the install. Discharges behind the containment seat (over fuel access), under the drivers dash, and under the passenger side dash. Look at my gallery here on the forum.

I'm very happy with the way it was done. We had several discussions on where to put the handle. Rollbar and I came up with a very good placement, then Rollbar calls me back a few days later and says that Glen has and idea. Glen's idea was in the cup holder! I said do it!!! They fabbed up a plate and installed the pull handle in the cup holder. It is in easy reach, perfect! I will be installing a second fire supression soon enough (engine). And the cup holder is ready for the second handle. Yup the speeds are going up!

Pics of the cup holder pull handle install? I didn't see them, but I might just be dense.

That's a lot cheaper than I thought a system like that would be. Also seems like something I can do in my garage, which is key.

I'll come up and watch you run. I'm interested in running this event sometime in the future. The roll cage and fire suppresion system requirements are preventing me for now.

Fire supression???For what?? At the speeds we run its a no brainer...not needed.

Is it an Ohio thing???

Just took delivery of my rpm cage today chrome Molly Carbon fiber!!

Now i see a cage as a viable mod but why fire surpression?

Another approach.

Soon the ejector seat goes in :)

LMAO, Mike. Yeah...I guess it's only a matter of time but we did simplify a few things. Don't need the nitrous with the TT's and I pulled the fan electronics and pump for intercooler. With the IAT's I'm seeing....no need. I did leave the water/meth in for grins since it was clean and no weight to speak of unless I fill the little bottle. Besides...I installed and wired that bitch myself clean and I didn't have the heart to pull it....:D

Here's to the TEXAS MILE....

ECTA is a geared for one thing. A place for eastcoast LSR folks to get ready for Bonneville. So, ECTA rules try to mirror SCTA rules. That is why you will see cars like Bob Merickle's 52 Nash Metro Competion Coupe at Wilmington. Bob was the first car over 200 at the Ohio Mile. He has been to Bonneville and run 261!

It can take several minutes for fire/rescue to get to a race car on the course at Bonneville. So, fire suppression is required.

The rev limiter and maybe aero stability (we don't know yet) would be our limiting factors at Bonneville. That would be a hoot but it's a big investment and I just don't have the time and inclination to go do that yet. I need to go and hang out for a week with those crazies...maybe once my boys are out of the house.

Sam,

How does the car feel in the 180's, 190's and at the "number"? Alot of drama going on in other parts of the forum, but I'm still interested in what you experance at speed.

If aviation, the more experanced pilots pass down the knowledge. Knowledge is the key. Are you starting to feel any instability?
