I think the problem is if you have to sign something stating your powertrain warranty is void because you have a tuner on the car, there will be no way around getting something simple in the powertrain covered if the tune did it or not. Before things could be overlooked, but not in a situation like what seems to be going on now. You are either covered or not. The dealer will get screwed if they try to put a claim through for a bad coolant temp sensor because that is part of the powertrain warranty. Its simple things like that is what im talking about. Hell, I understand about heads shortblock and things like that not being covered. Im not trying to get around that. Thats fine with me. I dont think you guys realize what the whole powertrain warranty covers. Its EVERYTHING with the drivetrain. Including everything on the engine right back to the diff and axles. AND MORE, cooling fans, radiator, ect....ect....ect.... I just dont see why I should pay for something like a leaking diff seal when the tune had nothing to do with it. just examples. Im also on a Monster Energy drink rampage right now. . Im not held responsible for what I say. So if i go off on anyone, its just the energy drink.............

I think my point wasnt gotten. My point was that we should not be held responsible for everything of what is covered under the powertrain warrarnty if we just put a tune on the car. I can understand the engine and possibly some trans parts but not the whole powertrain warranty. Why should I pay for a leaky valve cover gasket if I have a tune on the car?? Things like that should be covered. Thats my whole point. And whoever blew up engines on a canned Diablo tune with 87 oct must have turned the knock sensors off. Back in the day when you COULD turn them off in the old CROM's. I jsut dont see it happening without turning off the knock sensors. And by the way, the customers are not the problems with warranty........its Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep themselves that are the problem. I mean, it would not be right for me to have to sign away my whole poertrain warranty to just tune my car, then the guys car next to mine in the shop ran into a fucking pond and hydrolocked his engine and Chrysler covers it. And get this...... they KNOW WHAT HAPPENED and still cover it????? This is the shit I saw everyday in the shop. They cover everything even if they know the cusomer was at fault!!!!! Now the way things are going and what looks like I have to sign away MY powertrain warranty and get NOTHING AT ALL COVERED in the whole powertrain??? And no way around it because i sign that paper saying you are screwed. But hey, that other guys car next to mine in the shop that hit a curb and bent the hell out of the subframe and they COVER IT!!!! See my fucking point now? I am willing to get some things taken away from my warranty but the WHOLE POWERTRAIN warranty should NOT be taken away. Thats my point.

Yeah, I went a little far with my last SRT8 for an everday driver. I had a big shiny looking thing under the hood. I loved the hell out of it but it was on the edge with stock trans and bottom end. I got the 392 to just do some really mild stuff to it. A good CMR tune was one of the "mild" things.

Here is what its gonna come down to. If you want to play you will need to give up your powertrain warranty to get your PCM unlocked.........which some people wont give a rats ass because they are gonna mod the shit out of it. But for MOST people, they just want to get a little more out of it with a tune. Why give up a powertrain warranty for something that is really not gonna hurt the car???? For example, you have a basic CMR tune and catback, (which we know wont hurt a damn thing). You get a rear gear whine because the getrag sucks balls and they are not gonna cover it because of the little waiver you had to sign to get your PCM unlocked. They are gonna say "well, if you didnt have that tune in the car the rear gear would have been fine" Thats the problem I see. They are not gonna cover shit!!!! Its one big ass fucking scam period!!!! You get a trans leak and they are gonna say to fucking bad son, you signed that waiver and have a tune in your car. NO COVERED HAHAHAHA!!!! NOPE, not gonna cover that valve cover leak because of...............yes you guess it, that tune is fucking up the valve cover gasket..........Thats my whole problem with what looks like its coming down to.

I tuned my 392 yesterday. It took a while with the kind of tuning fork I had.

Where are you guys getting the A pillar dual gauge pods for the Challenger??? I got mine EASY for the Charger but a bit harder to find for the Challenger. At least one thats not gonna hurt my pocket too bad. The one I got for the Charger was only 30 bucks and it was a perfect fit.

Now they need to put one in the SRT8's.
