Here I am in a dilemma trying to decide what to do when selecting options for the rims on my car. It's the B5 blue with black hood Challenger. I'm in a position now where I've had some work done to the car which will take the power level up to another level and I think I need some drag radials for the street. I'll share more about the build in another thread soon. I know D/R's aren't the only solution but it's the one I have settled on. Think MT 305's here.
So here are the known factors. :
20" staggered fitment mandatory. 8 1/2 or 9" front, 10 or 10.5" rear
Offsets must be similar to Alcoas in front, 24mm and rear 18 to 15 depending on width. (this will push the rim outwards I know. It's a must with oversized tires and the inner fender well on these Challengers.
must clear Hellcat Brembos
must fit rears in unmodified wheel housing
5 x 115 mandatory unless proven there is a way to make 114.3's work without any issues.
would prefer hubcentric. Or a adapter which is 71.5mm, to whatever wheel bore is.
Could be widening the stock Alcoas by 1" (kind of pricey and very inconvenient) I have purchased the 1/2" spacers, adapter inserts and longer wheel studs. I just can't make up my mind if I should have them installed or just buy new wheels all around.
must not be more than 3 or 4 pounds heavier than Alcoas. 27#'s is the weight on them.
No Neon colored options!
I'm looking for examples of wheels. I've done the searches so many times that I'm overwhelmed with all the same contenders. I need all of your help! Pictures or links are preferred as google is exhausted!
Many thanks,
Matt
