I just got back from my dealer, they ordered the parts. the mechanic (Jess), when work needs to be done,He is the only person I let work on my vehicle there. told me that if I wanted to change to a high volume oil pump , that would be the time to do it also. any recommendations on which kind to get, also, would one be needed or is the stock one sufficient?

Why not an official recall. Not everyone of the owners of those 50,000 vehicles uses the internet, contrary to popular belief

It keeps the feds out of it and they can pick and choose who/whom receives it.

So is the oil pump extra? You replacing it just in case?

oil pump is only costing me $50, it has to come off anyway to get to the timing chain, I have 70,000 miles on my car, so I am taking preventative measures.

Gotcha, makes sense. OEM pump or something more robust?

Mine is heading in Wednesday, spent the night pulling off the custom painted pieces. What a payne on the ass, but its better that I do it carefully than have them scratch the shit out of them. Also pulled off the catch can to get it out of the way and put the stock air intake back in so they wouldn't bang that up either Car looks funny with the stock air box, haven't seen that since it was new.
Put the stock tune back in just in case they flash the PCM.
Stuff: Custom Engine Cover, ARIA S/N 83 CAI, 180 TStat, 85mm Ported Throttle Body, 6.1L Exhaust Headers and JBA Hi Flow Mids, Corsa Sport Catback, SLP Line Lock, BT Catch Can, Nose Badge, and Dress Up Kit, Hotchkis Sport Sways, MyGiG Lockpick and Brandmotion backup camera, Tint, DRLs, Sequential Tails, MOPAR Hood Struts, Splash Guards, and Trunk Lid Liner, Radar detector/Blendmount, EZ-Pull Trunk Handles, Interior/Exterior full LEDs.

Read the CSAN P01 and it doesn't replace the hemi oil control solenoid or timing chain sprocket. I had those replaced on my car at Arrington. I think I remember posts where the screen on the solenoid would be loose or missing. I would replace that also even on your dollar. CK

I did the oil control solenoid over a year ago when it threw a cel. Cannot remember the cel number but I did a thread on it here. Easy to install. I think it cost me around $33.00 plus tax.
