Cams are not always the issue. The issue is anything that changes ve tables. In his case, a stock cam with a 426 would have had the same issue. The idea was to increase the size of the cam accordingly so that the ve tables were as close as possible to the stock ve tables at idle.

Thanks man, I did ask him and he sent me a new tune... he said what it will do is advance timing at idle. I haven't got to try it yet because I'm getting body work done to it....my chin spoiler flew off on the highway and dented my bumper, sliced my cutout wire :/ lol

Also, A/C is messed up so maybe Wednesday or Thursday next week will be fixed. I'm getting the lower bumper cut out and using the wind splitter from Luke. Kind of to look like Team Spankin Time challenger. I'll keep you guys posted as soon as I update the tune and see if that helps it.

I had the comp 201-426-17 cam, lock kit, springs, pushrods and shims installed in my 2010 Plum Crazy 6 speed Challenger RT Been nothing but a nightmare for a year. Have had 5 programs sent from Josh at HHP and the throttle is all over the place. When you shift the motor will jump all over the place up to 6000 rpm and stay there till you push in the clutch or shut off the key. The tunes he sends last about 50 miles till it starts this process all over again. Anyone else having this? Is there a cure?

Welcome to MMF.

I can only suggest that you try a different tuner, it worked for me.

I have the smaller 266 on my 5.7. It has a couple of the same issues you described. It will stall going into drive, Rpms fall to 500, bounce back up to 1000 settle back to 800 or die. Yesterday stall twice coming out of gas station. it only happens when the adaptives relearn and engine isn't at operating temps. Sometimes it will hold a gear past 3000 without more throttle or letting off it. It has its funny moments for sure. For the most part, I like the tune, power is there and I know AJ will fix these quirky drivabilty issues on the dyno this week. 30 revisions on your tune says it all. I know ARD in Houston did a friend's cam (266) in his truck with help from a vendor on this site. No problems. Check them out if you can't travel.

So I've learned that it might be "ramp speed down function in open loop".

Can you explain more on what that means exactly?

By the way, I should have my car back soon and will try the new tune that advances timing at idle. I'll report back as soon as I find out.

Ok so I got my car back and updated the tune, wow! Turned the car on changed to Drive and no drop in idle. Gonna send the log over to Johan and see if that fixed it. When I got home, switched from Drive to Reverse to Park to Neutral and not once did it drop in RPMs nor stall. Much better!

It feels so much better! I got a new tune to bring the RPMs down at idle to try to make the cam lope....kinda hard to get this cam to do that lol.

Eddie, you have the compcam 274 right? I still haven't seen a video of yours yet...
