TDEMON

1971 Dodge Demon 1000Hp Single Turbo Build

Well i figured its time to start a build thread on what i got going on with the motor I'm building and the car it will be going in. Before i jump into that ill give y'all some back ground info about how i got to where i am today. I bought the car freshman year of high school and drove it for awhile till i spun a couple main bearing coming home from work one night (the motor was a 318). So the car sat at my buddies body shop till about a year and half ago when i started working on it here and there till i moved to Houston for school (The School of Automotive Machinist). The school basically teaches you how to do all the necessary machining to build badass high performance engines. So after i got the block class portion out of the way we have a couple months of shop time to use the machines and build your motor. since I'm a mopar guy i decided to build a 5.7 that i had laying around so that brings us to today.

I started ordering some parts like my drag pak intake, moroso oil pan, aeromotive fuel rails, arrington billet main caps, head/main studs, mds delete plugs and callies crank and rods for now. The main caps should be in tomorrow so i can line hone the block and start checking for bearing clearance and what not. as parts continue to come in ill keep y'all up to date on the progress of the build and my goal for a 1000 hp.

Bud that's awesome!. I did mmi after high school and all though it didn't wind up being my life long occupation it was an education that I've used my entire life. Best of luck on your build, choosing mopar I sure hope you got deep pockets :)

Thanks guys!! Yes judd is an awesome guy he's got so much knowledge about this stuff its crazy. I've saved up for a long while to get this build up and going but I'm just hoping i can get the engine built while I'm here while i have the time and resources. I'm trying to get some side jobs going to help fund the build but no luck yet.

Good stuff. SAM has a lot to offer. Can't see shit on your last set of pics...you might want to repost.

Best of luck with the build. I'm not far from you.
