The day after i got back from VMP the car starts stalling when i slow down, there is a small amount of rpm surge just before the stall. another odd thing is when i restart the car and put it in reverse it acts like its in neutral . put it in drive then back to reverse its ok.

Kevin is having a similar issue. Help, wtf is going on. :( GG.

No the car didn't get its flu shot yet. ;)

Mine ran perfect all week and today went in to limp mode when Lisa drove it this morning. Must be something going around.

Ya'lls surging and stalling sounds like your autos are doing what we fought like crazy with the manuals for the first couple years.

Did the battery completely drain or get run low? I've had a few modern cars act up after the battery died or completely discharged. After a trip with a completely charged or brand new battery, I disconnect the battery for awhile, re-connect it, and the issues cleared. It seems like when one of the computers didn't have the full 12 volts it needed, it had corupted files stored for awhile. A fresh connect with a fully charged battery seems to reset it back to normal. Anytime one of my cars acts up, but doesn't set a code, I do this.

As bad as I hate to even think about it, torque converter issue comes to mind. Is it stock?

no 3200 made to AJ's specs.

no other throttle body. anyone out there have one i can try, mine is stock.

all help welcomed. :(

Check the alternator output. If you're on the low end of the scale, all sort of strange things start happening.

And I have a few spare TB if you need one, but doesn't sound like that it's, as I don't see how that would effect trans operation.

Thanks everyone for your help/suggestions, the winners are Erik (Hemi31) and Kevin (Renfrik), it seems i have solved the stalling issue(knock on wood). As far as i can tell the issue is solved ,it was the MAP sensor. someting y'all SC'd cars should put in your memory. :o

Great news!

well not so great... after 4 trips of varying distance the last one .. short in the hood. well was going great got home and stalled in the driveway. fuck.... maybe the battery trick will fix it as Kevin had the same issue after the MAO sensor..

If not a trip to Arrington is on the schedule/

Oh damn, that sucks. But it does sound like it looking more like a "simple" fix, which is much better than what my initial thoughts were. Please keep us ( me ) in the loop, I'd like to know what the eventual culprit is here.

Just to get a full scope of the issue, symptoms are stalling after stopping, but in motion all is good....no hesitation, surging sporadic or shifting problems?

**I did the logical thing and went back to your original post for my answers....thoughts that come to mind, NAG1 is electronically controlled, there is a sensor on the outside of the tranny ( can't remember what it's called, speed sensor maybe)....maybe something to look at. It's the sensor that tells the tranny what gear it is in or where your shifter has been positioned. ( I'm getting this info from stuff I've read, by no means am I trying to pretend to even have more than the faintest ideas here, just throwing out some limited ideas and hoping I can help )

I also read about a similar issue being caused by the valve body conductor plate.

Will be looking at the TCM flash, the converter , throttle body, what the fuck ever. not sure why after stalling that there are no codes. i'm sure something is out of line.

maybe the battery disconnect will help as Kevin had the same issue and after he did the MAP sensor the battery disconnect worked. fingers crossed.

Throttle body wouldn't cause the transmission confusion about which gear you selected, TCM, battery, convertor, speed sensor and valve body are my tops ideas. Could be as simple as loose electrical connection at the sensor, could put it on stand and check fairly easily. In any case wishing you all the best and look forward to hearing this solved.
