Midwest Caravan To Challengerfest2

Here is an opportunity to drive across the country to a fun weekend of racing and hanging out in Bowling Green, KY.

Here is the plan so far.

Meet in Council Bluffs, IA at Quaker Steak and Lube, 3220 Mid America Drive, Council Bluffs, IA 51501, around 4 pm Thursday April 28th.

We will be driving through Kansas City around 6:30 or 7:00, we can meet anywhere along the route if anyone wants to tag along.

We should be rolling through St. Louis around 10:00 to 10:30. If we have anyone who wants to go from St. Louis, we can either stay the night and leave early AM, or we can roll through St. Louis and find a place farther East to stay the night.

Plan is to be in Bowling Green around lunchtime Friday or close to that.

Also I will be crossing the state of SD Thursday AM if anyone wants to join in. I can also go the southern route and cross I-80. I have a little two lane that way or a little more miles if I go I-25 to I-80 if guys want to I can do either.

Mark is saying he can leave St. Louis around 8 am Friday morning.

Thoughts anyone?

Sounds good to me that will be 1200 miles. I'll be ready for some sleep.

at speed limit, bowling green is approx. 5 hours from STL. If we gas up, dont stop on the way, and go above the limit a tit or two, we can make it there in perhaps 4-4.5. was there a plan to have a few libations upon arrival in STL - should we consider the amount we may conceivably drink and stay up till? that is unless everybody plans on hitting the rack once we get in. just some thoughts.

forgot you are in WYO with a few more miles to handle!

If we leave Omaha at 5, that should get us to St. Louis by 11, with at least 2 hours to party up, maybe they are open til 2, don't know.

Someone tell Mark to get over here instead of CT.

I think I will find a hotel near here.

Hooters of St. Louis Kiener Plaza

100 N 7th Street

Saint Louis, MO 63103

Any issue with that?

sounds like good plan

Ok, I am here. Around here most St. Louis bars are open until 1:00am. There are quite a few hotels around the South County/Arnold, MO area and lots of bar/restaurants. When we leave in the morning, we can cut over 255 into Illinois and hit hwy 64. My wife and I will get my daughter on the bus at 7:45am and can meet up and hit the highway by 8:00. There is also a Hooters in South County. The hotels around Kiener Plaza will be expensive, compared to a little further from downtown. I can make a few suggestions on where to stay and hook up for some drinks, if you want. I am really looking forward to the whole event.
