5.7 Hemi Power

how much power do you think i could make with a 5.7 hemi ? (2004) I think stock was around 325hp ? With a good size cam and tuning do you think it could get in the 400-450 hp range ? I've been looking at stroker kits , to stroke 5.7 out to 6.4. I know I can get around 480 hp with the 6.4 but the kit is about $2500.00 . trying to keep the costs down somewhat . any help would be appreciated.

cam isnt much cheaper than that 2500 if at all.

Get a good custom ground cam with 600 ish lift and 240@050 + with Eagle heads you're looking at 550hp+

did eagle heads come on the 2009 and up 5.7 hemi ? if so any eagle head off a 5.7 hemi 2009 and up will fit my 2004 5.7 ?

the cam I have been looking at is from Howard cams Lift: .600 / .575, Duration @ .050: 219 / 227, Centerline: 108, Hot Street, Best in 6.1L with modified heads, Very nice low to mid-range.

you said ( cam isnt much cheaper than that 2500 if at all. ) I appreciate all your help but I think you were answering my first question about hp on the 5.7 vs stroking the 5.7 to 6.4 and cost . my second question was in response to Blue Blur post

hi, this is my first Mopar build and my first efi build any help picking a cam would be greatly appreciated . Why is the 108 a problem ? what should I be looking for ? Thanks gary

you should be looking into having hemi31 make you a camshaft for your specifications.

On a stock 2004 5.7 345ci, a cam and tune won't put you over 400rwhp. Original 2004 HEMI engines I believe put out 350hp at the crank. If you're talking crank horsepower, then ide be more easy to say yeah you should touch 400hp at the crank on cam and tune.
