Just so you know - My 2004 Ram 2500 was bought used in 2010 had it in a couple times for warranty service and the dealer set me up with a loaner car (and I live 50 miles from the dealer).

They have the loaner car rules posted at the service advisor check in. NO loaner cars under any circumstances. They will arrange for a rental but you pay for it.
If they dont fix it this time, they just may own this R/T again. I knew I should have went for the bucks and bought an SRT8. I was thinking I could make the car fly with the money saved over an SRT8.
We will see... I will post again on Wednesday morning after I get it back and start it in the morning cold........

that really sucks that a dealer wont give a loaner car, just recently my car had to have another altenator put in, I called up my sales guys 7:00 the evening it happened and he told me that he would meet me at the dealership and I could drop it off. when I got there he had a loaner car ready for me to use.And I didn't even buy the car there, (but I have bought about 15 cars and trucks from there and as recently my wife's Challenger and my daughters Malibu.)

I took the car to the dealer last night and left it. They left it outside overnight so there wouldnt be a variance in temps. I took the service manager and his lead tech for a ride this morning and they couldnt believe how bad it misses and surges. As soon as the temp gauge hits about a quarter, it starts to clear up. The service manager was on the phone with Chrysler when I left.
They gave me a loaner this time and said they will have the car a few days. I will update when I get the car back or if they call and tell me they found the problem.....

The service manager just called me and told me Chrysler said it was normal when it is cold for the car to do what it is doing. He questioned why the other new Challenger on the lot that we tested cold didn't do that and they didn't have an answer.
I told him what stevewhiteparts said on CT and he is going to change the plugs and try the car again tomorrow morning.
Somehow I knew that would be Chrysler's answer...no admission of guilt even though the other new car I drove didn't do it. I see a lemon law deal coming.....
I should have bought the SRT8....

Jeez guys....Didn't mean to start a shit storm using that four letter F word......
And oh yeah... Ilooked at the F car and the new Camaro before I chose the Challenger.... problems or not it is still a better car, better value and much better looking, riding...etc. etc.
