They probably realized that - that's why they didn't offer him a test drive initially - just a waste of the salesman's time. :)

Well, I lived in my old house for 12 years on a 15 year mortgage and got a good price for it when I sold it considering the market. So honestly the new place isn't costing me much more than the old one, so that's not really a consideration. That was one of the reasons I pulled the trigger on that deal. Right place right time kinda thing.

However, for a car like this I won't compromise. I have to like the color, the drive, handling, power, etc. When I was shopping the Challenger it was Hemi Orange or nothing, 6 speed, no sun roof, etc. One just happened to show up the very next day at the dealership exactly like I wanted. Another dealer had searched and couldn't locate one within 500 miles.

Roger that. I may strip the car down. Haven't decided yet. I'll likely put it up for sale whole and see if I get any bites, if not I'll start yanking parts.

Okay guys back on the subject...
The service manager just called me and said changing the plugs didnt make a damn bit of difference as he drove it himself this morning. He spoke to Chrysler again and they told him to put a different gauge on it and log the results and send it to them to see wht the sensors are doing. He also went and drove the other car on the lot and admitted there is no problem with that one and it was a big difference in the way the car responded and souinds as compared to mine.
Last night I sent a letter to the sales manager there, and told him Nevada lemon law states that 4 times in for the same problem constitutes a lemon and if they do not fix it this time, I will be going in that direction.
They are keeping the car overnight again as it was already warmed up and they want it to log the readings on a cold motor.

Cool man, keep us posted. Since the issue seems to disappear once the motor is warmed, it very well could be a sensor that reacts oddly to cool temps. Is it generating any CEL codes?

Nope no codes It gets better when it warms up bu it still just dont have the power that the other car I drove does and the motor just dont sound the same. The other one sounds solid and has a nice rumble. Mine sounds like it has lower compression or just not get the fuel.... Who knows its on them to figure it out....

If they ever get it right I have decided to make the 2200 mile one way trip to CF3 just to meet you guys in person.....

That's interesting. With it stumbling and hesitation I'd have expected there to be some CEL issue.

When it is cold, doesn't operate on a set parameter or table and then one it hits 160 or so degrees starts using sensors to adjust to the operating conditions...or do I have that backwards?

Correct, car does run in open loop when cold until a set temp, but it has to use a sensor(s) to know it's cold. Dunno, just an idea.

Could also be a bad connection electrically somewhere that only shows up when cold.

Leads me to think it has a temp sensor (not coolant) that is not working....that is a WAG on my part.

Speedy and I hit enter at the same time. lol

What I have been told is the system runs in an open loop and doesnt record anything until hits a certain temp then it goes into closed loop and will record
Again, its what I was told and I am really beginning to wonder if they actually know anything or its just more BS from Chrysler and their crap about its normal

Here's some open loop info:
When the engine is cold, most electronic engine controls go into open loop. In this mode, the control loop is not a complete cycle because the pcm doesn't react to feed back data. Instead, the pcm makes decisions based on preprogramed info that allows it to make basic ignition and afr settings and disregard sensor info. Open loop is activated when a signal from the temp sensor indicates the temp is too low for gas to properly vaporize and burn. Also while idleing and WOT you go into open loop.

Sorry for this long post.

So according to this it couldnt be a sensor causing the problem.... Its the computer making some shitty decisions?

could be BUT it needs the sensor to tell it that it should BE in open loop. Again this is a WAG on my part, but, I bet it doesn't know it is cold and is trying to run closed loop when it is too cold to do so.

All of that info i posted is word for word from one of my automotive books that i have from when I was in school for auto repair. Looks looks like you should have the PCM reflashed, but i would wait to do that after they record data the next time they run your car while cold.
