Frank we can do a 426 and make 10-12 lbs, but its up to you. I personally think the 440 with 8-10lbs will be a very nice street car

Just don't want to go back in the cradle again, 1 time does it. I can always bolt on another power adder later, either when I can afford it or sell my 392 & Maggie.

Keep the 440 and just replace the blower and run more boost.

because its just fun......

you wouldnt understand bottleboy ;)

im kidding....

lol....

I got the opportunity to drive Scott's (1FST4DRs) car on the highway for about 40 miles recently and loved it. He has a 392 with about 12 Lbs and the shit hauls arse.... More power is always fun, but I thought it was plenty for a car on the street

Hey thanks folks, & I value all of your advise & wisdom, I think I've proven that within the last year "Post Douche" by following your advise & your builds closely. As to the centri blowers, I gotta keep it real here: I have nothing against them, the #'s you guys have put up using them, speaks for themselves, but I'm sure that any one of you that's seen pics of my engine bay, have already developed the opinion that I'm just old school Chrome Roots from back in the day. Hopefully there's a roots alternative to Maggie that will let that 440 run @ optimum performance.

If anyone knows of any problems that may await or anything to look out for with swapping over to this motor,VVT, PCM, 6 spd pilot bearing issues, ect. please don't hesitate, I could use all the help I can get. Keep in mind, the car will be running down the track now & then, but primarily a Street Rod.

Thanks,

Frank
