How To Pack Parts In A 2009 Journey Family Trip

Step 1: Order stuff from HHP, SX, and other supporting vendors. This tells the wife there will be no room left for her stuff.

Step 2: when in the US, stock up at Harbor Freight, Northern tool and other cool shops you don't have around home

Step 3: Have skinnies mounted in the US to save space

Step 4: Pack:

- Put brake rotor boxes on the backseat floor. Kids will love the support for their short legs. Stuff brake pads in back compartment with the new Gopro cam.

- In the roof-mounted luggage hauler, put one slick, one skinny+wheel and misc hand tools, plus jackstands

- in the rear, place the other slick, skinny+wheel and under-hoist jackstands at the back. Put other tools underneath. Place sensitive electronic gadgets on the side. Stuff luggage inside slick and kids toys and blankets on top.

Step 5: At the Canadian border, be friendly. Have all windows lowered for Border Agent. Tell kids to smile and wave as you rightfully declare your $3200 limit, joking that Wife went overboard with kids crap.

Step 6: Unpack! It's like Christmas!

I never thought a Dodge Journey could haul so much stuff.

It's easier to smuggle everything back if it's already installed in the car. I think that's why Canadians do so many installs at the hotel.

Yeah, I almost installed my SC in the States ans return with a box full of spare parts. I didn't have access to decent tools, though, so I bit the bullet.

No pics?
