My First Year With Pwr...

(Update 10/18/14 Engine and heads now at BFNY, Cam and essentials on the way)

I remove my Andy rant as all parts were delivered and engine assembled. Motor should be pretty sick and a good value. (my apache heads were upgraded to Thiteks by Andy) Took to long? Yes.....Better late then never? Absolutely.

Everything bill has said is true. We are very sorry and I don't blame you for voicing your disatisfaction. We deserve it. It's very unfortunate but we are doing our best to get everyone caught up. We have been taking very limited engine orders so that can focus on getting caught up. Have actually turned some business away so as not to compound the issue. These sound like excuses but they are not. We screwed up and are trying to get everyone caught up asap.

Sucks, im not gonna add to the down side of this. I would be pissed to, Andy seems like a real good guy and I understand it is tough as hell keeping a business going. Dude needs to grow more hands or hire some help.

Well not actually my first year but my money has been with PWR for one year this past week and I'm still waiting for the parts to get to the shop so the engine can get built. WTF Andy? I could have thought of better things to do with that cash never mind having to think about this bullshit all year.. Yeah I could go on with this all night...

Now folks understand I do not like to have to post this sort of thing knowing it has a reverse impact on someones business and living but there's a complicating factor here too, Since Andy told me on the 16th. of July he was planning to ship the motor to BFNY on the 26th. of July I dropped my car off at Erik's just before LX&B and got a ride home from FlyByU. Erik has been stuck dealing with the car shuffling it around ever since just waiting. Yup and my wife wishes I'd stop having to use her car all the time too..

Hurray PWR 440!, It's always just a day away...

I understand the frustration, Bill. Really.

PS... When this all settles out, we will race and laugh about the wait. :)

We'll get there Bill.On a side note Billy Briggs has been spectacular with communication and keeping us up to date

PM sent, Erik. Maybe Billy can help out my scheduling with BFNY. ??

Who's "we", Do you have a parrot on your shoulder? Who did you divvy my money up with?

lol I'm glad you've still got your sense of humour.

Shitty situation but great response Andy. Standing up and taking responsibility.

I hope you're on the road soon Bill. Waiting and being let down is a bitch.

Good luck Bill.

I guess as long as I keep seeing you and the others ahead of me post stuff like this, the more reality sets in that god knows when mine will be done.

Good on you for responding Andy and I am sure it wears on you but it's wearing on those who are waiting as well for numerous reasons.

Good luck and hang in there Bill. My car has been gone about 6 months now so I can empathize. This couch racing shit tends to make people grumpy :)

Thanks for the support guys, I got a call from Billy Briggs today and he said he talked to Andy and was told by him the connecting rods were going to get sent out to Billy's shop today. As it stands Andy has told me previously my crank, pistons, rings, ARP main studs and machined block are there and my Thitek heads are at Craig's. If the rods get there he can actually start to build the engine, I sure hope so.

A Jeep guy went to Motor City Speed (Billy Briggs) for a forged bottom end (Pistons / Rod's) I think he waited 4-6 weeks due to the custom pistons being ordered. Once the parts were in they pulled the motor and did the work in less then 3 days. Once he has the parts he can turn the work quickly.

I was at their shop last week dropping off some parts for a racing buddy. The shop is a mile away from where I store my trailer. Billy was not the guy I had visioned! lol lol

Yeah Billy certainly seems to be a cool and righteous engine builder, But he can't work miracles. Andy has to give him the parts and cash to do this.
