At this point I am. I may have to skip LSMF, but I'm gonna be down for Saturday at the Mile at the least. If anyone from out of town needs a place to crash the night before y'al head down on Friday, I have a guest bedroom that you may use.

I want to do this. Can we just go to spectate? Although, I would love to see what my RT will do, bascially stock. I was thinking maybe 160mph?? My custom tune, makes her better than the average RT and better than a lot of SRT's too.

The Colonel is down for the Mile and will unfortunately have to withdraw from LSMF. The hemp plantation was a bust (no pun intended) and is a bit drained financially from CF3. Ah will appropriate funds for the blessed event in Beeville and will of course be transported there by the Colonel's beloved devil dawg. Other than moral support and pointing a video camera, the Colonel isn't sure what else he can do to be of help to Slammin' Sammy and Karl. The Colonel is handy with a wrench but probably couldn't be trusted around NOS.

I think I'll probably go as well. Coordinating a blower date with PWR in the next couple weeks so might want to run it. Will have to talk about tires before I run though. Have a mild vibration north of 110 that will probably be magnified. Looking forward to seeing Sammie run and getting advice.

I will see if my budget allows me to attend this time, most likely won't know that untill the event draws nearer I may see 160+ with my procharger on my Challenger.

If coming in from the South and you want to see the sights of Beeville or in need of coffee then by all means follow the directions from this site. If like me in a GPSless rental, virgin territory, dark, fog and a tad behind schedule DO NOT bark at your navigator (spouse in my case) for being illiterate with a simple left or right off the printout. Not removing all credit cards from her possession before leaving the track as Sam suggested was strike two. McDonalds for dinner iced it.

LMAO....it's on.....TEXAS OR BUST!!!!!

So here's the deal, boys and girls. If you're serious, call the Holiday Inn Express in Beeville DIRECTLY (don't screw around with the 1 800 number on the net) and book your room NOW. You can always cancel with no charge and little notice (24-48 hours if memory serves me). The hotel rooms are the first thing to go. There was a new hotel being built across the street from the HIE but I don't know what it is and when it'll be open.

Second, if you're running, pay attention to when registration opens. You'll want to register that same day to ensure a slot. It always sells out. Having said that, you might just try to brave it and pay when you show up but I don't recommend it. Might get lucky, though. Several pay every year and don't show. Just depends on the day.

As I receive notices and the date approaches, I'll post up here and keep those that are interested informed. Very basic requirements for 99% of those that run...speed rated tires (non issue for most) and a 2lb or bigger fire extinguisher on a metal mount in reach of the driver. Helmet and gloves that are properly rated. The rest is gravy and obvious...natural fiber clothing and close toed shoes. It's TX baaaaaaby!

Thanks for lighting the candle, Kenny....

I just called the holiday Inn Express the girl said they aren't taking reservations yet but put me on a waiting list. she said that once they start taking reservations they will call according to the waiting list. She said this will be one or two months prior to the event.

Sam what other hotels are good I'll try and get on another waiting list or two just in case. Thanks
