3.6L Track Times

Took my lightly modified V6 to the track a few times now. I know its no supercharged monster or anything but here is my PB timeslip....14.67 @ 94.59....have been to the track 4 times and done about 21 runs and steadily bettered my time and done small things along the way. Anyone else on here take their 3.6 to the track?? Wanted to post my time slip but the file is evidently too big....1.7M

hahah it only took 7 minutes to get ripped on!!! A little disappointed it took THAT long! Well, it still beats my 69 barracuda with a 340, 727, and 3:23 gears....and this one does it with leather interior

That's an outstanding time for the V6 Congrats! The Pentastar is a heckuva an engine. Those times would beat a lot of vintage V8 cars, and even Mustangs from the 90s/2000s. You'll have to update your signature now too.

Thanks Jay....was in the middle of the signature update when you posted. And yea, I have fun with this car, 100 miles a day commute, then hit the track and run those times, I'll take it!! Owned almost 13 months, 30,000 miles

Doesn't matter. That is a super time!

And you aren't going to be breaking any drive train parts. (Like somebody we know) lol

Ya oughta be proud of "the little engine that could".

Congrats. great times there, I know my wife's 2011 SE rally has more get up and go than my 09 did stock, I had to put a tuner on it to get it into the 15's

doubt my wife's car will see the strip though, her car, she makes the decisions on it, I just keep it clean and oil changed....... but I have driven it and the ride is superb.

Thanks clickers....some more details....Went to Lebanon Valley, NY. I got 7 runs in, the second being my best. All 4 of my runs in the left lane were PBs...14.670, .686, .681, .675.....all of my runs in the right lane were slower....14.748 (which was still a PB), .756....and then after that run, ran again only 6 minutes later and did a .844 (worst run of the night, zero time to cool down). Evidently I was having some sort of traction issue in the right lane. These motors are really pretty damn consistent, make a good bracket car.....any more 3.6s on this site???

One of the LX guys who wins the bracket races at the LX forum races... a lot.... has a low 14s Dodge Magnum AWD.

Those are very consistent ETs - less than 1/10th of a second difference. There's no reason you can't win brackets/index as long as you're consistent.

The next thing to work on is your driving consistency - dunno what you're running in terms of R-T but if you get consistent reaction times, and you know to dial those in along with your ET, you'll be all set.

looked at my slips last night and the 7 runs I took, my best reaction time was .049....my worst .156.....no red lights...a little slow but between the car and my reaction all pretty consistent....but .05 here, .05 there and before ya know it youve lost by .1 haha....darn, I will have to practice more....what a bummer

I have a 2011 dodge avenger with the 3.6 that went 14.6 bone stock. I ordered a tuner for it but ive seen these cars going 14.0 to 13.8 with tuner alone. After the tuner I will be getting exhaust and cold air intake
