Plasti Dip Experiments

I've been messing around with plasti dip for the last couple weeks. Check this out and let me know your opinions.

Blacked out the tail lights

Here is my center console in blue.

And here is a better look at the radio

This stuff is amazing!

I don't know what happened with that 2nd picture but here is the console...I hope.

Out of all the interior panels I've seen painted, those are probably the best looking. I think when they're shiny it makes them look cheap.

Be careful with the plastidip, though. You can get carried away easily and start doing rims, entire cars, your kids, and end up in Plastidippers Anonymous.

Not my thing either.... sorry. I can never understand why people would want to reduce the visibility of their tail lights... especially on a foggy morning. I want everyone to see my ass in bad weather.

Welcome to the MMF. .... we are a tough crowd. .... Honest. .... but tough. ;)

Stevo...you got any pics of Plasti Dipped boobs?

OP, interior looks good, but take that shit off the taillights before some asshole in a prius or honda runs into you while texting!

I agree with Stevo here, not a fan of darkening the tail lights, side markers, sure.

Does it even shine through? I would tint them if you want them darker

The light does shine through and it's really not as dark as you would think. I only used 2 light coats and it works great. I'll get a pic tonight.

I done the side markers as well just don't have a picture. However, looks like a solid body panel until I turn on the lights.

My son and a bunch of his friends are really into plasti-dip. Yup Subaru crowd. He did his entire car and it does look better....but his paint was so bad that when the birds shit on it it was an improvement...... lol He's a damn good mechanic so I can give him a pass on the plasti-dip. Believe it or not I have some plasi-dip on my car.........guess where?
