Barton M6 Shifter Review

Great, great write up.

Not to take anything away from the hurst, because I do believe the hurst had a slight bit shorter throw BUT it was sloppy is hell in the cars. Unless you had Larrys G&K upgrade it was next to the Barton; when I took mine out to install the Barton I could see the stock throw rod was already starting to bend.

Unfortunately due to a dumbass mechanic that lost the Larrys G&K upgrade and jewed me out of $$$ for other parts, I did not have the chance to try out the upgrade which lead to my Barton installation.

From my understanding, Barton had actually reached out to the Mopar community to get feedback on what they wanted which definitely came out to a liking.

Great review Speedy! The Barton is truly awesome and a definite must mod for manual drivers. Other than the short throws and percision shifts, it's a brute too. I felt like I was going to snap my Hellcat shifter, but not the Barton. It can take some abuse for sure.

Just received my new Barton Flat Shifter for my Hemi Orange Challenger SRT8. I order a black flat shifter with orange Barton lettering, along with black ball with orange 6 speed gate lettering, Looks Great! Contracted Joe Barton for assistance on special ball knob lettering color request. He said that they are planning to offer the engraved color options ball knob available online (currently only offered in white online) in the near future. Joe is a great guy and very helpful. I plan on installing the Barton Shifter this upcoming Memorial Day weekend, can't wait to try it out on the road.

Drove mine home with the Barton and RPM today. Feels nice, but the Barton is very tight. Anyone find it frees up a little?

Yeah, springs will loosen up a bit. Not a whole lot but noticeable, at least to me it was

Yes it's tight, but I love it so far. 1-2 takes a little practice, but 2-3 is dead on and that's the one that I always screwed up with the grip I had.
