Who's Bringing What To Cf3

76 posts in this topic
Since we have covered about every imaginable aspect imaginable. I figured I would throw another one out there now that we are getting really close.

What are you bringing? Considering that Mike carries a shop and will likely have any tool imaginable. Should we list what we are bringing so we have a good assortment to deal with almost anything imaginable. Would also be nice for the guys with trucks to list all the extra crap we're bringing so guys in cars can be a bit lighter.

I'll start:

Race Wheels,
Heavy Floor Jack,
2 Jackstands (will likely have 4 before Wed. if HF still has the real nice aluminum ones.
DeWalt 18V Impact and a few batteries.
Torque Wrench
Receiver mounted winch.
100ft extension cord, heavy 20' jumper cables,
10x10 tent
3 tables
4-5 folding chairs
Flagpole
65qt cooler plus dolly (Chuck's little party on wheels as some called it last year!)
1 set of SRT mids for J.
Petty's 6 speed DS loop (I don't remember who wanted it)
a shitload of boxes of Lisa's swag!

Things I can bring space available:
1800W Generator
200PSI compact compressor - I have not tried to run it on the small generator, but it should work. I will test tomorrow.
Race Ramps

Parts I can bring to get someone out of jam, not really trying to sell, but more for emergency use:
1 set stock axles
1 stock driveshaft
These don't take a lot of room so it would be pretty easy to bring.

Beer...

Seriously, my space limited... basic tools, spare belt and tensioner, Predator and DR's. Jim has offered to let me use his floor jack (the good one.... not the bent POS from TSC).

Chuck... what about security at the track? Call me a worry wart if you may. I am thinking about switching to DR's at the hotel Saturday morning and tip toeing to the track. I am just afraid of my Vossen/Nittos being lifted while they are sitting at the track. I know we have a great bunch of guys and gals here at the MMF but I am thinking of uninvited undesireables that my come out of the wood work and try and make a quick profit on stolen goods.

Me worrying to much?

Thoughts?

Stevo anybody can get in. I was at that track last year for LTXShootout and during the races this lady comes driving down the track in her Cady from the finishline end. She acted lost and PO'd Anything can happen ;-)

You're probably worrying too much lots of us around. I think most guys find most tracks to be pretty safe. Seems to be a pretty good fraternity of folks that do this. Kinda like football fans, every team has scumbag fans, but the ones that care enough to travel tend to always be great folks. I always get along great with visiting fans! I probable worry more at the hotel than the track.

I thought about bolting my track stuff on at the hotel, but that means I would have to put 4-20" wheels in my car or hotel room . So far no incidents at all the tracks I've been to. I just barrel stack my tires and keep all my stuff in a neat pile. I think we'll all be looking out for one another at Beech Bend.

Lisa was throwing out a bunch of jewelry pouches. I found them in the trash and decided they would make great nut sacks and been using them ever since. They had my new shiny nuts in them, but now contain my old beat up black nuts!

Speaking of nuts... I have to change out my stock POS's to my new gorilla lifetime nuts from Speedlogix before I have any issues changing tires at the track. Thanks for the reminder.
I was planning on buying a cheap 10x10 pop up there at walmart and then give it to someone to bring next year. Not going to have much room in car since we are bringing our nephew too. I was hoping someone will have an air compressor so I dont have to limp to a gas station when we are done at the track.

Other than that, its just me, mary and the bad little RT
