WHAT IS THE LX & BEYOND NATIONALS?

Founded in 2008, and based in Ohio, the LX & Beyond Nationals is the ONLY drag racing, car show and entertainment event in the United States completely dedicated to the Modern MOPAR Muscle and Performance vehicles. A grassroots event that began in Spring '07, as a meet-and-greet in a restaurant parking lot in Columbus, OH.

This annual event hosts hundreds of die-hard enthusiasts and aftermarket manufacturers from California to New York, from Canada and everywhere else in-between. Enthusiasts interested in showing off their cars, testing its performance limits on the 1320 and learning what is new and available in the aftermarket attend this event every year. The event is open to the public and dedicated to the continued growth of the car hobby. If you own an LX/LC/LD-platform or any SRT performance vehicle (or in the market to purchase one) this is an event you want to attend and see what the cars and the culture associated with owning one is all about.

Can't wait. Went to Quaker City last Friday. They totally stripped and resurfaced the entire 1/4 mile. Traction was awesome. Got my best Ohio runs ever there. 1.54 60' 11.63 et.

Thinking about it. It is either this show or the Mopar Nats in August. Would be good to see my MMF friends again before April next year.

Thinking about it too, wonder how hot it will be there?

Was thinking the same thing. Can't believe it would be cooler in August though. I save my best runs for the fall. lol

Plus I would like to touch it up with Rob again. I know he wants a rematch. lol

It was fucking sweltering last year - don't believe me - ask GSO. lol Track has that weird uphill burnout box - and when I say uphill - it's probably steep enough to activate the six speed's hill holder - lol. Once you leave the box, it's a VERY short distance to staging and you're coming over the crest of a hill so real easy to run past the beam - saw it happen more than once- Then the track goes downhill from the tree, and uphill the last 200-300 ft until you hit the trap. Also, you're headed south-southwest so generally any breeze is a headwind.

I'll be there, already registered.

This is summer in Ohio, can be a comfortable high temp of 75, not too bad at 80 or sweltering at 85 to 90, you just never know, but was there last year and it is an event not to miss.

Just looked up what it was last year on that date 75 degrees and 87% humidity at 7AM. Oh yeah mopar nats always sucks, I have better luck at carlisle.

I would love to have that kind of weather right now. Yesterday 95* with heat index to 101*.

Don't try to use historical temps to gauge what it will be this year, it never works. This is Ohio and she is bound to surprise you just when you think you've got her figured out. :) It couldn't have been that hot, BJB ran in the 9's....

In 2010, it was overcast for a good portion of the weekend and unusually cool. In fact, there were threats of "the r word" that never happened. Lots of folks were in jackets. It wasn't "suppose" to be that cool in July. Keep in mind Salem is further north than Columbus so we can get some "lake effect" temps...

Guaranteed that August will be blazing hot, always has been without fail. We considered moving the event to August but the weather is brutal.

Quaker City Motorsports Park is setup differently than some drag strips but everyone is running on the same track, no excuses! Bring it!!! ;)
