Cf4 - Thoughts From The Smallest Vendor

What an event!! CF4 was the first time we have sponsored an event and it was an absolute blast. We're already discussing how we can be a bigger part of supporting next year's debauchery, but we will absolutely be back.

I have spent more hours that I care to count at racetracks, but Saturday was only my second trip ever to a drag strip and I got a huge kick out of it. Though there were many memorable moments, the highlight for me was the 6:00pm showdown between the John's and watching both of those beasts launch hard and run deeeeeeep 9's side by side. Took my breath away - wish I'd have had the presence of mind to pull out my camera but I just stood there and cheered! I need to brush up on my physics because my calculations tell me that a full-interior 2-ton Challenger won't run like that, but damned if they didn't. I suspect there are rocket motors hidden somewhere on those two cars, but I couldn't spot them.

I have to say the Saturday night awards ceremony was humbling. The generosity of the sponsors and the competitors alike set the bar really high and confirmed what I expected: that despite an obvious lack of good taste and adult sensibility, this is a really top-shelf group of enthusiasts and human beings.

I got to meet and speak with many of you but missed many more. Thanks to all of you for making me feel at home, only teasing me moderately for driving a Japanese car to a Challenger event, and letting my small company be a part of a big, bad-ass, and exceptionally well-run event.

Congrats to everyone who made it whether you took home a trophy or not ,and we cannot wait for CF5!!!

Enjoyed chatting with you Mikah.

Hopefully Mani will hit you up to improve the cornering on his car. He obviously thinks going in a straight line is boring.

^^^^^ lol

Great to meet all of you as well (next time, Tigress!). I agree that Mani seemed a bit confused about exactly which direction the finish line was in. I just assumed that he, like me, was new to all this. I can tell there's a road racer in him just trying to bust out.
