Ost Dyno Expanded Operations Update

It has been some time since we have posted on the forums and thought this might be a good time for an update on what’s been happening at OST Dyno.

Grab some popcorn - you know I'm long winded and like pictures :)

With a rapidly increasing customer base our old location was not able to support the growth. With our goal to be one of the premier performance modification and tuning shops in the area it was time for a change.
Our new facility has been operational for a little over 8 months. We specialize in engine swaps, transmission swaps, camshaft swaps, roll bar fabrication, custom turbo system fabrication and installation, supercharger installations, and dyno tuning. Check out the “Modifications” section of our website ( http://www.ostdyno.com/modifications/ )for pricing on many of these services.
To do all of this we needed an appropriately sized location. I seriously misjudged what “appropriately sized” truly meant.
Operating as a fully insured and licensed business with staffing, payroll, 401k plan, accounts payable/receivable, shipping and receiving, a phone that never stops ringing, and managing the other aspects of a commercial location has been a daunting task.
In addition, we have been busier than anticipated with both local customers and those shipping their vehicles to us from around the US and Canada. The operation has been “full throttle” since opening and we have not even had time to put up a sign to let folks know where we are.

Although specializing in old and new Mopars we do modify and tune many makes and models.

We also get to work on some really cool rides and have started relationships with many great customers.

For those wondering why our forum presence has died out, you now know the answer. This new facility has consumed all of our time including many late nights. Don’t misread us; we are blessed to have the business. However this has left little time to spend online. Nevertheless, we are making an effort to change this and become more active on social media and the forums.

Our old location and dyno are still operational but used primarily for our personal cars.

The new facility continues to be modified to support our changing and growing customer base.

We have already outgrown this new location and have expanded into an adjacent warehouse building to store vehicles waiting for an open bay in the new shop.

My son Micah left his full time job at Merkle/Impaqt in June to manage the new facility. Here’s a shot of the staff that keeps the new location up and running (left to right Mike, Nate, Steve, Micah, Center - another 1000+whp HRH Performance engine ready to be installed in a customer car.). Yes, I need to lose weight. No, Micah is not hugging Steve.

In the evenings I focus on dyno tuning, email tunes, and returning customer calls. Micah has focused on overseeing the performance modification side of the business.

Micah keeps the staff hopping and is in the mix as well.

We have also been commissioned by Sprintex USA an Australian based supercharger company to provide tuning solutions for all the LX/LC platform cars that they design superchargers for. This has opened up an area of business in the V6 Pentastar world that we are pleased to expand into.

The Sprintex engagement has also indirectly sent a lot of the Pentastar Jeep crowd our way. Again, another area for OST Dyno to adapt to and tweak every foot pound of torque we can from customer rides.

Wow! That is a real good update on what ost is up to :) very happy to see you guys doing so well. i am digging the old school 426, and grand national too :)

Thanks Kelly! The convertible Hemi 'cuda was a blast to drive with the top down when I took it on a "road test" :)

The customer with the GN actually has 3 of them. The one in the first pic I believe only has 30k on it and the one in a later pic is his "race" GN. The third on he has I believe has 3000 miles on it and is pristine - since you mentioned you like GN's :)

Thanks everyone for the encouraging responses!

Nice Mike

Brian - it's customers like you and your dad that really make this business a blast! Folks like the two of you do all of your own work, understand what it takes to make cars and trucks go fast and it always makes me smile when you or your dad stops by. Thanks for your business!

Good things come to those who put in the work!
Thanks for being my go to guy for tuning.
Great job Mike!

Patrick - I do have Hellcat PCM's in stock so when we're done with your Scat Pack just let me know and I'll have one heading your way :)

lol. The plan still is to put the 426 in the Wife's car and up the boost.

Her car kind of got pushed on to the back burner when we bought the Hellcat, and I think she'd probably kill me if we started modding it before we finished hers.

We'll be talking about that soon once I get the Scat Pack sorted.
