Just thought it should be mentioned - Anyone carrying firearms across state lines needs to be aware of the firearm laws in each state you're crossing, reciprocal carry, et al. Long guns usually no issue if they are unloaded, but handguns are much more tightly controlled.

For instance, while my pistol permit is valid in Kentucky, it isn't in Ohio

For the difficulty in obtaining the permit, it's amazing how limited the reciprocity is.

I think it's tit for tat - NYS honors very few other states. NYS pistol permit application process is very onerous and difficult, lots of hoops to jump thru. It's the Northeast - lots of liberal pansies that want to restrict and control everything. The rich liberals high up in finance and politics have their own fucking security guards to protect them, so they don't don't give a shit. Massachusetts is the same way.

If you get a Florida non-resident permit you will be good for a lot more states. It's a little over a $100 and can be done by mail. You just call and they will send you a packet with everything you need.

I had a NY permit many years ago. Fucking joke.

Much easier here in GA. to get a carry permit.

I'll probably join you Chuck and Lisa at the range.
Sounds like fun.

I've brought a pistol both times to CF. Kentucky is a gold star state for open carry btw. For the range, I would suggest bringing your firearm in it's respective case along with any ammo you're going to shoot. Bringing my G23 and S&W 642. Choot 'em!

I'm definitely in if it's a long gun range. We have so few of them here that i seldom get to shoot my AR or anything else. I used to go to my Dad's place, but the neighbors don't like me scaring the cattle so I don't shoot much there.

Well I kind of doubt you will see any of the Click Chicks topless like the women at Sturgis. Other than that, it might be close......
