Who Likes Twin Turbos?

Who don't? :D

Any chance you could upgrade your camera :o;) Pics are a bit fuzzy. :)

Have you looked into bumper mounted turbo's by chance? To hard to mount, no one wants to deal with it, cost prohibitive??

That project has been going on a while now huh? Interesting location, will they be blanketed? What are the goals with this car? Cool ass IC design, and dig the notching of the bumper, nice work.

Nice setup there. Yeah... who does'nt like turbos. I really enjoy looking at vendor (MMF sponsors) builds from Arrington, PWR, TT Creations etc. Keep em coming. Always enjoy learning about new stuff.

We just began work on the turbo's at the beginning of the week and Plan to have it completed in the next couple of weeks. Also there is alot of cosmetic work going into this Street and Show car so actually finishing the project we are looking at about another month. Looking to get about 800rwhp on pump gas.

Hugh Jassol likes the little bitty feed pipes to the intercooler!

Yeah, what's up with those?

Looks great otherwise. I like the back to back intercoolers.. Are they opened or independant?

Those little bitty pipes are 2" are the same output as the housing on the turbos. We are running 6266's on this build and we maintain the 2" piping to keep the velocity up to the intercooler then let the intercooler be our Transition to the 3.5" Piping to the Throttle Body. This is a custom twin tank intercooler done especially for this customer. He wanted the Twin Piping to the throttle body. Most kits will come with seperate charge tanks but, a single tank cap and outlet.

Front mount Turbo's can be done. Those builds would be for the little more race oriented.

Made 1k WHP with those little pipes on another car. This car is more about street then strip. Customer wanted a very streetable snappy package.

Just curious, what would be the race advantage to bumper-mounting them as opposed to where they are located currently on this build?

I've always liked the idea of turbocharging, it just seems that there are more hurdles to overcome with its implementation.

"Rollbar" here under Alex's screen name.. the biggest benefit to front mounting the turbos is that you can physically fit a larger turbo in the bumper than you can down beside the tranny.... the problem however is routing the hot exhaust needed to spool the turbos from the manifold to and from the turbos in the front of the car.. you can run them under the crossmember as we do on the jeep setups but that wouldnt leave you very much ground clearance on the challenger.. or you can snake the exhaust in and around everything between on the way to the front but theres alot of stuff that wouldnt appreciate the extra heat.. as for the "itty bitty " pipes they are exactly the same as the discharge on the "E" cover turbo were using.. as for ground clearance we may have givin up 1/2 of an inch as compared to the rear most x member in the front k member..lol

What is the target amount (or range) of boost those twin turbos will produce (or be expected to produce) in that setup?

Someone needs to develop a TT kit for the Challenger that will pass emissions. The Mustang has it. Heck even my 370Z has one available. CARB Certified and all!

I like it, very clean looking set up. Is that a modified hellion kit or something custom?

Fresh fab on this one. Jay gets in there.

So how high are they above the trany support? Tough to tell from the pic.
