Way to man up Frank. Takes a man to admit a mistake and ya... you got my vote on the monthly award.

Welcome to the MMF. Good Luck with Arrington, good people there. Take the Arrington Tour and try not to drool on the floor!

Here we go, the folks over at CT are rallying together to say I'm wrong and the air fuels really OK. I'm about to pop my top...

Fuck em. I would be much more worried about the part throttle timing and knock, anyway. Let them blow their motors.

He in fact does. He has stated publicly and privately with me several times that he wants to be a vendor for Dave. He is in this for the money.

don't worry, we've all had those moments. now Im thinking we voted for the wrong guy. AAR is still a douche

I've got a kick ass bat made by our very own Supa' Dave to prove AAR is da man :D

It's a start, Frank. I believe you will be pleased with Arringtons work including A.J.s tuning.

that's really what it comes down to. Dodge/Fiat really eff'd us on this one...bareback by the feel of things. i still can't make up my mind whether it was over warantee work or if they think they can create a monopolistic Mopar product. either way sucks to be us, going to have to start throwing money into an Arrington fund...hopefully I have enough wife points to cash in too...

Thanks Stevo, unfortunately I won't be able to tour the place until October, when I go down for vacation.

I am doing the same Frank! I have the B&G tune in my car, on a separate ECU, and will be sending the car to Arrington this summer. I just feel a need for more. Does it make the car a bit more fun, yes, but are the changes dramatic, no. The TQ management removal was nice, but there was a small bog in the lower RPM's, and apart from the TQ management difference, the power seems to be the same. Here is my honest review from the "other" forum:

I personally took a risk and bought the tune. I will tell you my honest impressions.

1. Red Barron was quick and precise in answering all of my concerns. I do sales for one of my jobs, so I know a sales pitch when I hear one, and it was not that at all.

2. The removal of the TQ management makes it a new car. For this alone, I would have bought the tune.

3. It seems like more of a conservative tune. There is no audible knock or bogging. The car drives as it did before, with a lot more "get up and go" from the line.

4. I have no CEL's. I am using a Jet 180 thermostat as well, and engine temperatures have dropped 20+ degrees and stayed constant during hard runs. Heat soak is basically gone.

5. As I have put miles on the car, it has gotten better...more smooth and a bit more torquey.

I do not work for B&G or Red Barron at all...I am merely a customer of theirs using their product. If I was unhappy with something, I would be honest and say it to RB or B&G off of the forums. It is always forum etiquette to give a vendor a chance to correct and handle an issue offline before posting on a forum and waiting for the lashing. I have not had to say anything to them besides "thank you for taking the time to do what nobody has done yet". RB used his own car as a test mule for it, so that says a lot to me, being someone who has done that in the past.

Thanks for listening and have a great day everyonesmile.gif

In the past, being a tester for tunes on my old car (running over 20 different modified tunes until it was right), I have an idea of what you should get out of a tune. On my Solstice GXP, which I sold for my Challenger, the HP and TQ gains on a 2.0L 4 cylinder turbo were 40+ at the wheels. It was like night and day. This tune was nice, but I am hesitant to go WOT with all of the negative talk about the B&G tunes of the past, especially knowing the knowledge base that comes out of this forum (I have been reading here for a while, and really enjoying it). I will not bad mouth the tune, as they do not claim wild HP and TQ gains. It does what they say, but it just is not enough for me, being as power hungry as I am.....Soooooo.....off to Arrington in August for a Maggie and ECU harness swap, along with some other goodies:) I am super excited and look forward to being a part of the blown family!

sweet Steve! Thanks for the honest review. You're going to love that car after Arrington's finished, I'm super jealous. I personally am waiting for SNL to come up with a ported heads/cam/tune package as the Arrington swap is a little to rich for my blood right now.

Yea, the only thing I wish is that Arrington had a cam to add into the package, but I know that is very hard because of the VVT, if I am not mistaken. Cams, aside from the performance gains, just make the car sound like it came from the depths of hell.

The CAM in the 392 actually responds very well to boost. I think you'll be pleased with where you end up.

Most agreed here with Jay on this one!!

Loving the boost baby!

Yup... I gotta Arrington MTCM. Was looking forward to using it at CF3. Unfortunately it was just along for the ride last weekend. It doesn't like my 8lb tune. My tune needs to be adjusted.
