My Review Of The B&G 392 Tune!

104 posts in this topic

Sounds like the same tune up B&G was giving up for the older controllers. Copy MBT into WOT spark and watch it pull 7-9 degrees of timing. Play with the ACT and ECT modifiers evnethough they shouldn't be touched on a stock car. Gotta love it. Some things never change....

so is anyone that actually knows about B&G other than what their butt dyno tells them surprised that Kasper is using the same bullshit from 6 years ago?

and he won't answer the phone because he doesn't want to hear that he blew up your engine!

I wish the old laptop didn't fry.....I had a nice screen shot of 36* of max timing called for.
I'm amazed when I open tunes from other shops and see 30 degrees of timing or more.

I opened up a procharger tune from a shop that will remain nameless, it had 24 degrees all the way across above 1.00 p ratio. "Car ran great" says the customer. Its making all kinds of noise now though.......go figure.
Yep, curious to see what these guys on CT think now. Sucks to have egg on your face claming 40RWHP and all that when you really have no clue. Never once seen a butt dyno that was properly calibrated.

Did they even scale the tables for boost? I love to see those cals.....Customer complains of poor driveability and then I look a the cal and see the tables are commanding the same fueling and spark at 1.0 pressure ratio as it does at Max boost. Hmmmmm.....

Throw some race gas in it and I'll be it will pick up....But whos goona run race gas in the street?

Seriously, where's RumpRaider???

Maybe someone pushed his butt dyno up too far..

Hit his brain and he went blank and forgot his password.

That's an objective write-up if I've ever seen one. Nicely done, B.

I feel for the 2011+ 392 folks. They deserve better for what they paid. If you can't wait, do it safely, though. Get the 2010 PCM swap and a proper tune. You've got a beautiful motor and there's not point putting it through hell for close to no add'l power.

Eric from Arrington took me for a spin in his 392 stock motor with the Maggie and that thing pulled hard. Spilled my damn rum before the awards ceremony B)

vroom cough vroom.....

Bitter sweet shit isnt it..Love the car hate the after taste one cant do shit to the ole girl without work....Hello.. they are stomping on serious heritage here with the 392 ....Fuck,, then used the old footage and heritage to sell the 392 ..WTF flavor of Koolaid did they mix cause it tastes like ass.

Buy a 392 and they scrap the srt track deal and you get a week at this place...instead they calibrate your butt dyno there.lol

Worthless as tits on a nun..

Too true man. If you don't see a very visible difference between the boosted/non-boosted part of the tables there is a problem :)

Hello everybody, hope you all enjoyed CF3 :D btw, how about that weather, really nice huh? Oh & those Tigers are just tearin it up this year :D

Ok, Ok, Ok, I get it. I'm a big enough man to admit when I'm wrong. So without further ado, To all here @ MMF, I offer my sincere apologies & do hope each & every one of you that offered input on this matter, will accept. Everybody makes a mistake here & there & this time I made one. I've remedied the mistake by committing to Arrington for a PCM swap, Maggie SC & ST-3A camshaft. Hopefully I won't continue to get pounded up the ass, after taking the sound advice of many MMF members that are more knowledgeable about these things than I am & putting it to good use.

Thank You for all your help,

Frank

You gotta spill you guts on CT, before those fooled people buy a bad tune.

Don't forget to mention you read it on MMF

Welcome.
