One Car Caravan From California To Bg

Heading out on Easter morning for Bowling Green. I'm hoping to write a little daily diary with pictures of the trip east and then back west and posting here.

Leaving Thursday morning should be in KC ~ 2-3pm. I was planning on stoping in St Louis for the night and then heading into BG on Friday morning.

It is a long ass drive... but should be worth it to see the sights at CF4. I may not make it there until Saturday at the track. Trying to balance sightseeing with major miles.... I'll see what happens.

Hey if skipping the House of Mud gets you there for Friday night, I say catch it on the way back, but be there Friday by 7 or so even if you miss the car show. You won't be the dirtiest car there, even after the road trip!!!

I'm going to see how many insect species I can collect over 2400 miles! If it is mostly dry, I'll bet it will be pretty unsightly. Driving to Springfest 8 last week (900 roundtrip miles) was a bug lover's dream....

Leg #1 completed. Arrived in Vegas at 7 pm local time. Here is a pic of my son who is riding out with me before we left this morning.

Very nice weather today with the exception of rain over the Tehacapi Mountains. Lots of travelers on the road. Here are a few pics of the destination.
