Iron6's New Hood

40 posts in this topic

Just installed and fitted the new Seedlogix hood, Mopar hood pins kit and rear seat delete. Too many Cpt's I'll have to wait till tomorrow to drill the holes for the hood pins. Pretty easy install and fit. Now what color? all PCP, PCP black scoop, PCP white scoop, or PCP scoop with white RT on top of scoop. Hoods about 15# heavier then stock. But I removed the front sway bar and the rear seat should put me back under 4308# with me in it. Sleeper look was always out too many young bucks wanting to challenge the PCP iron. lol Now we're bold and proud.

PCP all the way, or PCP w/white R/T. Black scoop does not give you any contrast and it is to many colors going on to close together. I also would not do the white scope, to much white with the stripes. Rule of thumb, 3 colors max or your eye does not know where to go. You have PCP, white and metal. Stop there. Just my opinion.

Hood looks great...mean. I'm a sucker for the matte black or satin black on a loud color like PCP. I agree it would look funky with the white stripes, though.

Me - I'd pull the stripes, go matte/satin black on the hood and call it a day. I'm easy that way.... lol

very nice .

is there a hole under the scope?

can we get a pic of the underside to please?

John,

Yes large hole to allow cooler air into engine compartment and to exit when stopped. My Vortechs gets cooler air through the 2011 front spoiler duct on the driver side where the air filter and cai going to SC is located. I also pulled the belly pan, front sway bar and rear seat with seat delete.Last year with the roll bar , full tank fuel and me in it weight was 4308#.There's about a 15# gain with hood vs stock. Not a big deal I'm not into pulling the front wheels for show. Looking for 10.5's this year and being streetable. Options smaller pully and more boost then 6.5# or a little shot of funny gas. Hood is going to be painted PCP and my white strips are staying. Thanks to all for the input. Now this ideas I like!

Sorry I bought the car with white because I like them. So the hood and scoop will be just PCP. Black strips just don't show up.worst case later I may just go with no strips. Thanks see you at CF3
